(Minghui.org) Local Falun Dafa practitioners set up an information booth in Ontario Province to attend the 50th anniversary of the Northern Lights Festival Boreal on July 8, 2022. This was the largest event in the area and was also the first event held after the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown had ended.
They displayed truth-clarification posters, demonstrated the exercises, introduced Falun Dafa, and exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, including the state-sanctioned organ harvesting from living Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) practitioners.

Sudbury is the largest city in Northern Ontario by population, with a population of over 160,000 people. People would ski and ice skate in the winter, go fishing or hunting during spring and fall, and go camping or kayaking during the summer.
Sudbury has about 330 lakes, with Lake Ramsey being the most popular. Ramsey Lake was once listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest lake located entirely, within the boundaries of a single city, until 2001. The Northern Lights Festival Boreal was put up on the picturesque shores of Ramsey Lake in Bell Park.
The Falun Dafa booth displayed a big blue banner with written golden words that read, “Falun Dafa,” “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
Many tourists also stopped to read the poster boards and watched Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrating the exercises.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, which attracted the attention of many locals on a crisp sunny day. Canadian English-language television network, CTV, came to the festival and recorded videos of practitioners demonstrating the exercises. They also asked for practitioners’ permission to post pictures on social media.
After talking with Falun Dafa practitioners, an elderly woman pointed to Falun Dafa’s informational brochure and said, “I am interested in this.”
Practitioners displayed different colors of folding paper which attracted children who wanted to learn how to fold paper lotuses. Practitioners reminded the children to behave righteously, just as a lotus flower, because lotuses rise from the mud without being stained.
Many staff members of the event and locals inquired about local practice sites. Practitioners distributed informational brochures and were happy that many predestined people encountered and learned about Falun Dafa at the festival.
