(Minghui.org) On July 20, 1999 the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) initiated a nationwide persecution in China to eradicate Falun Dafa and practitioners. Every year practitioners hold events to call attention to the persecution, and call for it to end. Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in front of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico on July 16, 2022. They clarified the truth, told people about Falun Dafa and how the CCP persecutes it.

After the activity ended at the Chinese Embassy, practitioners held another activity at Mexico City’s historic center. Some practitioners demonstrated the exercises, while others talked to people about the persecution and distributed truth-clarification flyers. Locals were delighted to learn about practitioners’ positive experiences from cultivation. Practitioners also gave a waist drum performance.
Many locals thanked practitioners for being there. Norma Granada, a government official, said that she read about Falun Dafa online. “I know the benefits of practicing Falun Dafa. This practice benefits one’s mind and body. I am very interested in it. I heard many people are able to quit their bad habits after they begin practicing Falun Dafa.”
She continued, “I’ve learned about the persecution in China. The Chinese Communist Party is too evil in persecuting this beautiful practice. Forced live organ harvesting is so horrible.”
She excitedly said, “I cannot believe that I’ve met you here. I am very happy and touched.”
Luis Alas said, “I think that the CCP is trying to control everyone to achieve what they want. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance brings beauty to everyone. I think the persecution is a big mistake.”
He said, “I think everyone should pay attention to his or her own actions. They should pay their respect to Gods and relinquish any bad habits. Most importantly, one should change from the bottom of their hearts.”
Esaú Salinas is a doctor who came and chatted with practitioners. When practitioners asked him about forced live organ harvesting, he said, “Of course I know about it. As a doctor, I know about forced live organ harvesting. I have friends overseas too. What can we do to help? You are doing a very important thing by spreading this message.”
Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
