(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in São Paulo held a series of activities on July 20, 2022 calling for an end to the persecution of the practice in China. Many local residents and tourists watched the exercise demonstration and read the information on the display boards put up on Avenida Paulista, the main commercial street of the city. A candlelight vigil at night commemorated practitioners who died due to the persecution launched by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in China in 1999.

Locals Support Practitioners’ Efforts to End the Persecution
Eduardo, a delivery man, stopped his bike to take a flier – he read it immediately. He said that his mother-in-law was interested in meditation and associated exercises. He was going to introduce Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) to her.
The practitioner told him about the persecution in China. He expressed his deep sympathy and promised his support for the efforts to end the persecution.

Practitioners shared that the number of death row prisoners in China is less than 3,000 a year, and the number of voluntary organ donors in China is almost zero. Yet there are tens of thousands of organ transplants every year according to official statistics reported by Chinese hospitals. The family of three connected the dots and were shocked to realize why many practitioners of Falun Gong disappeared.
A teacher and a group of students listened to the facts of the persecution. A boy said, “I wish the CCP officials to get what they deserve!” The teacher and others agreed. They also took some magazines about the practice to show to their families.

Ms. Dalva and her friend felt particularly interested in Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They were happy to be told about the spiritual practice—Falun Dafa—and were thankful to be informed about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and other religious adherents.
The two locals were shocked. They could not accept the crimes of organ harvesting for profit. Dalva said, “Brazil cannot accept the communist ideology like Argentina and Venezuela, which has led to the current bad situation.” To give to their family, the two took a lotus flower and some brochures.
A Chinese-looking young woman walked by the site pulling a hand cart. A practitioner greeted her. and then introduced Falun Gong and some facts about the 23-year-long persecution.
She nodded and said, “I really like the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many Cantonese worship gods and Buddhas. The persecution you have suffered is unfair. The heavens will uphold justice.”
