1. [Beijing] Ms. Huang Qingxiang and Mr. Lei Ying Detained
Ms. Huang Qingxiang from Xiangheyuan in the Chaoyang District was arrested and detained in the Chaoyang Detention Center.
Ms. Lei Ying from Huajiadi was sentenced to one year in prison. Even though her blood pressure was extremely high, she was still sent to the Chaoyang Detention Center.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guiqin Detained
Ms. Wang Guiqin has been held in the detention center for nearly two years, which is beyond the term. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. After she refused to sign the permission for an operation, her family was told to hire a lawyer to bail her out for medical treatment. The family refused.
3. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Four practitioners were arrested by police from Qitaihe City and Harbin City on July 12, 2022. Three practitioners, Ms. Guo Chunling, Mr. Zhang Guangcai and Ms. Zhang Jinfeng are from Hongwei Town, Qiezihe District, and Ms. Yuan Mei’e is from Fushan Village, Xiaochengzi Town, Baoqing County. Their homes were ransacked. Their personal belongings were confiscated including their Falun Gong books, printers, etc. Ms. Zhang Jinfeng’s van was also confiscated.
4. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yi Lanzeng Arrested
Ms. Yi Lanzeng lives in Yijiazhuang Village, Yuezhuang Town, Yiyuan County. She was arrested by officers from the Yuezhuang Town Police Station at noon on June 23, 2022. Her home was ransacked. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Liangsheng and His Wife Ms. Lai Zongping Arrested
Mr. Wang Liangsheng and his wife Ms. Lai Zongping were arrested at their home around noon on July 8, 2022.
6. [Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Feng Xiaohua Arrested and Detained
Retired teacher Ms. Feng Xiaohua was arrested at her home by police around 2 p.m. on July 13, 2022. No reason was given. She was placed in 7-day detention because an e-book which contained Falun Gong content was found in her home. She was taken to the Tangyuan County Detention House on July 14, 2022.
7. [Beijing] Ms. Xiao Fengwen Detained
Ms. Xiao Fengwen is detained in the Chaoyang Detention Center.
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Aiyang and Ms. Luo Xiuzhen Arrested
Ms. Liu Aiyang and Ms. Luo Xiuzhen were arrested by officers from the Lianmeng Road Police Station around 3 p.m. on July 12, 2022 for distributing truth clarifying materials at Chaoshi Square. They were taken to the police station and body searched. Their truth clarifying materials, USB drives, and paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts were found.
The practitioners’ homes were ransacked. Two truth clarifying materials were found in Ms. Liu’s home. Both practitioners have been released.
9. [Ju County, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Harassed
Officers from the Chengxi Police Station harassed at least five practitioners including Wang Jin, Xiao Wu, Ms. Lin Xueshu, Xu Yanlei, and Ms. Zhu Xiudi since July 13, 2022. They went to the practitioners’ homes or phoned them. They claimed that they would not bother the practitioners any more if they signed guarantee statements.
10. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Hou Bizhen Arrested
Ms. Hou Bizhen from Lishui District was traveling with a relative and took a high-speed train from Nanjing City to Hangzhou City on June 15, 2022. On the way, she was chosen to have her bag searched at the Shanghai City High-Speed Train Station and some amulets and paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts were found. Both Ms. Hou and her relative were body searched. Her relative was told to scold the founder of Falun Gong (the police use this to prove the person is not a practitioner). Ms. Hou’s home in Lishui District was ransacked and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder was found. Her son’s home in Suzhou City was also searched by police. Ms. Hou was taken to the Nanjing Detention Center. She was released around July 7, 2022.
11. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Zhanjun Arrested
Two officers from the Dongwankou Township Police Station in Chicheng County went to Mr. Wang Zhanjun’s home on June 22, 2022 and asked whether he and his parents still practiced Falun Gong.
Several people from the local police station and the county police department went to Mr. Wang’s home again on June 24, 2022. They ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder. They also tore down a wall poster. Mr. Wang was handcuffed and taken to the police department. The police forcibly took his handprints and footprints, photographed him, obtained his weight and height, and had his voice recorded. He was released six hours later around 8 p.m.
Mr. Wang was harassed at home again by local police officers and township government officials on June 27, 2022.
12. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested or Harassed
Several officers went to Ms. Chen Yazhi’s home around 7 a.m. on July 12, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated two sets of Falun Gong books and a cell phone. They arrested Ms. Chen. After her physical examination showed that she had some health issues, she was released on bail pending trial.
Several officers went to Ms. Li Mingxiu’s home around 10 a.m. on June 12, 2022. They ransacked her home but found nothing.
Police officers knocked on the door of Mr. Dong’s home around 8 a.m. on July 11, 2022.
13. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gang Fengqing Arrested
Ms. Gang Fengqing was arrested at home by officers from the Dongshichang Police Station around 4 p.m. on July 13, 2022. Ms. Gang tried hard to stop them from taking her Falun Gong books. They called more officers in and they eventually confiscated the books.
14. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Ms. Liu Chunping Submitted to Court
Ms. Liu Chunping, 82, received a call from the Zhangqiu District Court on July 13, 2022 and was summoned to court the next day.
15. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Cuiling Harassed
Five officers went to Ms. Li Cuiling’s home around 7 a.m. on July 8, 2022. They confiscated a Falun Gong book.
16. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qi Baoyan Arrested
Ms. Qi Baoyan from the Acheng District was reported to police and was arrested at home by two officers around 8 p.m. on July 13, 2022. Her home was ransacked and two Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was interrogated in the local police station and was released around 9 p.m.
17. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Geng Meiling Arrested
Ms. Geng Meiling was found by plainclothes officers when she talked to people about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers including Ji Wanguang, head of the Huai’an County Domestic Security Division around 9:30 a.m. on March 15, 2022. She was interrogated in the Chaigoubu Town Police Station. Ji Wanguang slapped her face twice and punched her forehead. Ms. Geng refused to cooperate and was later taken to the county police department. That afternoon, her home was ransacked by officers from the Dukoubao Township Police Station. She was placed under 15-day detention at 4 p.m., which would be executed at home due to the epidemic. Her family was tricked into signing paper work. She was released around 5 p.m.
18. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Yuqin Harassed
Ms. Gao Yuqin lives in Zixing Village, Hexi Township, Bamiantong Town. Yu Mingxu from the Hexi Township Police Station, led by village security director Liu Guangcai, went to Ms. Gao’s home around 7 p.m. on July 11, 2022. Yu turned on his body camera and asked Ms. Gao whether she still practiced Falun Gong. He confiscated five Falun Gong books.
19. [Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shi’s Son Arrested
Ms. Shi’s son from Daluomi Town was arrested around July 11, 2022. Ms. Shi’s home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated.
20. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu Shuang Arrested
Mr. Yu Shuang from the Longfeng District went to visit a teacher named Xu but was arrested by officers from the Dongfeng District Police Department on the afternoon of July 12, 2022. He was released that evening.
21. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shen Lifang Harassed
Officers from the Xingshan Town Police Station went to the restaurant that Ms. Shen Lifang’s son owned and pressured Ms. Shen to write the three statements, which she refused. They tried to take Ms. Shen away but she refused to go. In the end she took the police somewhere to take photos. The police knew it was not her home.
22. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lili Arrested
Ms. Lili from the Dongchenglingxiu Community in the Longfeng District was arrested on July 12, 2022.
23. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Hui Arrested
Ms. Zhang Hui from the Qinghe District was arrested on the afternoon of July 13, 2022. Her home was ransacked and her printer was confiscated.
24. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Guizhi Harassed
Ms. Zhao Guizhi, 78, from Ranghulu District, was harassed at home by officers from the Longgang Police Department and the Lamadian Police Department on July 12, 2022. The police ransacked her home and confiscated three USB drives that contained Minghui Radio content and a desk calendar. They wanted to know whom she contacted, but she didn’t cooperate. The police called her son and had him go through the procedure of paying bail pending trial.
25. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jin Weiping Arrested
Ms. Jin Weiping is a young practitioner in Pingfang District. She was arrested at her workplace on July 14, 2022.
26. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Chen Lian from the Dianbai District was arrested by officers from the Guancaotian Police Station in the Dianbai District one morning in early June 2022. She has been released.
Ms. Zheng Meiqiong from the Dianbai District was arrested by officers from the Poxin Police Station on May 28, 2022. She has been released.
Ms. Yan Xiaohong from Dianbai District was arrested by officers from the Shayuan Police Station on May 28, 2022. She has been released.
Ms. Gan Huiling was arrested at home by officers from the Shuidong Police Station in the Dianbai District around 6 a.m. on June 2, 2022. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Gan was taken to the police station and interrogated. Her youngest son was also taken to the police station after Ms. Gan refused to cooperate. Ms. Gan was released after midnight.
