(Minghui.org) For Falun Dafa practitioner Suhas, head of the Department of Microbiology, Bajaj College of Science, Wardha, sharing the health benefits and profoundness of Falun Dafa that she herself experienced is of utmost importance.

Suhas met a lecturer from Shrikrushnadas Rural Development College in Wardha, who welcomed the idea of Suhas giving a presentation to introduce Falun Dafa to her colleagues.

Thirty teachers attended the presentation at Shrikrushnadas College. They watched a slide presentation, a demonstration of the exercises, and then they did the exercises. The teachers said they were grateful for the opportunity to learn about Falun Dafa and were shocked that such a simple and wonderful practice was banned in China.

“I am in awe of this age-old traditional method of cultivating mind and body,” said Beena Samuel, Professor of English. “This method is amazing and even in my first attempt to learn I could feel a soothing effect on my soul. I felt relieved from stress and anxiety when I practiced. I suggest that everyone practice it as it is one of the easiest methods.”

Dr. Sushil Chouhan

“In a short time I experienced the mind-body connection,” said Dr. Sushil Chouhan who heads the Physical Education Department. “I think the combination of exercises and meditation gave me a sense of a flow of energy and my mind becoming still. Honestly, this is something I experienced for the first time.”

Prof. Vaishali Ugale

“This is the first time I'd ever heard about the Falun Dafa exercise and meditation system and I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to learn it,” said Prof. Vaishali Ugale, who heads the Library and Information Science Department. “I could feel the positive energy and was so happy to learn about the body purification process through the exercise and meditation and how one gains a tension-free life by going deep within through meditation. I would really like to take up this practice.”

Introducing Falun Dafa at the Cell Academy

Suhas learned that teachers and students at the Cell Academy wanted to know about Falun Dafa. She went there on June 26 to introduce the spiritual practice.

The academy runs a course to assist students preparing for The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) to Indian medical and dental colleges. Suhas gave a slide presentation, demonstrated the exercises and talked about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 23-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. Sixty students participated along with their teachers. The students and teachers were fascinated with the presentation and they could understand the scientific and medical explanations of how the exercise and meditation has an effect on the energy channels in the body.

Aditya More, a student, said that he really enjoyed the session and realizes that Falun Dafa is more than meditation. It is developing a state of mind that guides daily life oriented towards betterment of self, taking responsibility and putting others first.

“After attending the Falun Dafa session on our campus, I practiced the exercises for two weeks,” student Om Kale said. “I found my mind was more stable and I could concentrate better in my studies. It definitely boosted my energy and took me to another physical and mental state. I wonder why the Chinese government is stopping something so good.

“I consider myself lucky to attend such an awesome activity in our academy,” said Sanchit Bankar, a student. “I really found this technique useful for being calm and stabilizing the mind. I found myself more focused after the session,” he said.

Another student Pratik Kotambkar said, “The Falun Dafa session at our academy was so joyful and peaceful. I learned that Falun Dafa can reduce stress and improve health. But what appealed to me is that it enhances mental and moral levels and develops human potential and intelligence.”

At both sessions, the teachers and students expressed their keenness to learn more about Falun Dafa. With the help of school authorities, Suhas plans to have more sessions in the future for different groups.

South India: Demonstrating the Exercises to Primary School Students

Falun Dafa practitioner Bharati returned to her hometown of Udupi in southern India to take care of her elderly parents. She thought that this might be her opportunity to introduce Falun Dafa to the people in her hometown. Her first thought was to go to the school where she attended junior high school.

She was told she needed to see a supervisor on the other side of town. So she took the bus to the supervisor’s office and found him busy with administrative work. She waited patiently until he had time to see her. After reading the introduction, the supervisor told her that she could immediately start demonstrating the exercises in the primary school run by the government.

When Bharati went to the school, she was greeted warmly by teachers and students, and she demonstrated the exercises. She was happy that the children did so well when they learned to practice the exercises, and they looked so peaceful when they meditated. She said she felt that all the children had a predestined relationship with her and Falun Dafa, so she could go there.

The teachers said they felt so lucky that something so special had taken place,  and they were thrilled to see the children were so happy. They said that when the children did the exercises, they could feel the energy. Some teachers also participated in the meditation. When the teachers found out that the books Falun Gong and Zhuan Falun were available in the local language, Kannada, they were very happy.

After the demonstration was over, the children were reluctant to leave and asked to continue playing the Falun Dafa music Pudu and Jishi. A little girl asked if she could bring the music home. The teachers also asked if Bharati could return and lead the exercises every Saturday, and Bharati readily agreed to their request.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
