(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a series of activities in central and eastern Slovakia on August 4-11, 2022 to call attention to the persecution in China.
Activities were held in several cities, including Banska Bystrica, Liptovsky Mikulas, Poprad, Spisská Nova Ves, Presov, and Kosice. The practitioners collected signatures on a petition and appealed for help in ending the atrocities in China. Many local residents learned about Falun Dafa and saw the exercises being demonstrated during the events.

Many people signed the petition to end the persecution during an event in Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia.
After holding activities in Banska Bystrica city, practitioners moved to Liptovsky Mikulas. People stopped in front of the information booth to ask about Falun Dafa, and learn more about the persecution in China. They found it inconceivable that people who practice Falun Dafa based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance have been subjected to 23 years of brutal torture, incarceration, and even organ harvesting. Many signed the petition to help end the persecution.
A tourist from the Czechia approached the practitioners to learn more about cultivation. He was especially interested in finding out whether practicing cultivation can improve one’s mental state, as he said he had been thinking about this lately. He said he was materially well off in life, but was pursuing a spiritual cultivation way that would suit him. After listening to practitioners’ explanation, he signed the petition and thanked them.
Practitioners set up an information booth at Poprad, Slovakia to introduce people to Falun Dafa.

After politely declining his donation, the practitioners gave him a card with a lotus flower and offered to teach him the exercises. He joined in and did the third exercise with them.
Afterwards, the practitioners headed east, arriving in the cities of Spisska Nova Ves, Presov and Kosice, to tell people about the persecution.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
