(Minghui.org) People may lose all or part of their eyesight due to various diseases such as cataracts, retinal detachment, diabetes, and glaucoma. Although most of the conditions are irreversible and incurable, over 300 cases have been documented by Minghui.org of blind or visually impaired people recovering from various eye diseases after practicing Falun Dafa, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline.

“Rotten” Eyes Cured after Sincerely Practicing Falun Dafa
A Falun Dafa practitioner from a village in Liaoning Province shared her experience of how her eyesight was restored in three months after she took up Falun Dafa.
When she was young, she had mammary gland tumors, headaches, and pain in both hands. The pain was so intense that she attempted to hit her head against the wall to alleviate the pain. Fortunately, after practicing Falun Dafa, she recovered from all her illnesses and was mentally relieved.
However, as time went on, she slacked off in cultivation. One day in 1999, she was arguing with her husband and they had a fight. The next day, her vision became blurry. Her husband immediately took her to the hospital. The doctor said she had iritis and glaucoma. In addition, the pupils in both eyes had shrunken. “Your eyes are ‘rotten’ and cannot be cured,” he said.
The practitioner returned home after staying in the hospital for 21 days. She was very anxious thinking that she would be blind at a young age. In a few days, all her hair turned gray.
Her husband applied the medicine prescribed by the doctor to her eyes every day, but it didn’t help. After a week, he became anxious too.
When she was completely desperate, she remembered Falun Dafa. “Only Dafa’s Master can save me.” She sincerely admitted to Master that she should not have fought with her husband, and resumed studying Dafa’s teachings and doing the exercises.
On the third day, when she accidentally touched the book Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa, on the table, she was surprised to find that she could see again. How amazing! She could hardly believe it.
In less than three months, her eyesight was back to normal. The whole family couldn’t appreciate Master more.
A Whole New Level of Clarity
Lisa Rudek, originally from Poland, now lives in Illinois, U.S. She came across Falun Dafa in November 2014 when she was seeking ways to improve her vision.
Lisa was blind in one eye and had glaucoma in the other. “I had to use eye drops daily for the rest of my life. The drops just slowed down the deterioration of my vision, but couldn’t cure it. The thought of going blind one day terrified me.”
To get a new pair of glasses, she walked into a vision center for an eye exam. Even though she knew there was no cure for her glaucoma, she asked the eye doctor if she knew of any other solution.
Lisa learned that the doctor’s own mother also had glaucoma and had her eyesight restored by practicing Falun Dafa.
The doctor gave Lisa a copy of Zhuan Falun. “She told me that I could keep the book so long as I wanted to read it and that I should treat the book with respect,” Lisa recalled.
“I felt energized by her information. It seemed as though I had awakened from a long slumber, and forgot all about my eye problems.”
As she started reading the first paragraph of the first chapter, she realized the “power and importance” of Falun Dafa, “I couldn’t stop reading. I just wanted to read more. I was drawn to the profound principles discussed in the book.”
Through the first paragraph, Lisa saw clarity, “The clarity of knowing good from bad and the power to act according to it.” It brought fundamental changes to her and her life.
“The pressure in my eye with glaucoma is good and stable. I have Falun Dafa, and my struggle is over. For the first time in my adult life, I feel protected.”

Vision Restored after Ten Years of Blindness
Ms. Lin Huijun, 60, is from Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. She suddenly lost her vision about 30 years ago, when her son was not even one year old. Her husband took her to see numerous well-known eye doctors and they spent a fortune searching for a medical solution, but the doctors all said that they could not help her. Facing such an ordeal, she became more and more frustrated, and her temper got worse over time.
Falun Dafa became very popular in Jieyang in 1998. When Ms. Lin received a copy of Zhuan Falun, she asked her family to read it to her. Even before she finished the book, she realized that it was a precious book, and she decided to practice Falun Dafa.
Shortly after she began practicing, Ms. Lin and her family witnessed the miracle of Dafa. Her vision, which had been lost for close to ten years, improved! She was able to see light! She gradually regained enough vision to see the road and be able to ride her bicycle. She was again able to do household chores and start her own business. She was delighted to see her bad temper gone and her family in harmony.
The Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting those that practice Falun Dafa since July 1999. Ms. Lin was harassed many times by the authorities. She was threatened, arrested, and her home was raided because she upheld her faith.
But no matter how much pressure she faced, she has always remained steadfast to her faith, “I lived in darkness for ten years, and modern medicine could do nothing to restore my vision. I regained my health through practicing Falun Dafa, so how can I give it up?”
