(Minghui.org) Recently I came across a piece of news that is rather disturbing. It’s reported that an officer named Wang Lijun in Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province, saw the name Su Guangming on a coronavirus DNA test report in June 2022 and arrested Su on June 27.
Mr. Su, a native of Zhaodong, has been living away from home for twenty years to avoid being persecuted for his faith in Falun Gong. He has been held at the Zhaodong City Detention Center for nearly a month and will likely face prosecution.
This year marked the 23rd anniversary of the persecution of Falun Gong. Since Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, ordered the persecution in July 1999, Falun Gong practitioners, who simply strive to live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, have been subjected to arrests, detention and torture.
Over the years, many police officers have understood the facts about Falun Gong as a result of the practitioners’ persistent effort to raise awareness about the persecution. Many have chosen to protect the practitioners, instead of blindly following the persecution policy.
But Wang, the director of Zhaodong City 610 Office, an extralegal agency created specifically to persecute Falun Gong, has been actively participating in the persecution and has made his name to the list of the 114,945 perpetrators recorded by Minghui.org, with entry number E000106691.
According to practitioners who had contact with Wang, he has consistently tried to deceive people. He planned many arrests of practitioners, but often stayed behind the scenes to cover up his involvement.
Once he personally led a team of police officers to follow and videotape some local practitioners. He pretended to be an acquaintance of the practitioners and said to one of them, “I think I know you. Remind me, what’s your name? Do you know so-and-so (local practitioners)? We are all good friends. Tell me, what is your name?”
The practitioner didn’t believe him and asked in return, “What is your name?” He turned around and drove away!
I truly hope that Wang can spend less time thinking about how to persecute the practitioners, but ponder why after 23 years of such brutal persecution, Falun Gong practitioners have never wavered in their faith.
Wang might also be aware that many people on the perpetrators’ list have been removed from office or suffered various terminal diseases and mishaps. In fact, throughout history, terror and violence always failed to conquer righteous faiths and those who follow the authorities in persecuting good people are the real victims themselves. If Wang really wants to enjoy a good life and a beautiful future, stop participating in the persecution is the best choice.
