Scope
This policy applies to all applicants, including but not limited to teaching certification exam applicants and proficiency certification exam applicants.
Exam Qualification
Any of the following conditions would disqualify an applicant from taking the required exams:* Not attending required face-to-face courses hosted by an instructor designated by Shen Yun Arts Proficiency Assessment Center. (only applicable to teaching certification exam applicants)* Not attending required face-to-face courses hosted by an instructor certified by Shen Yun Arts Proficiency Assessment Center. (only applicable to proficiency certification exam applicants)* Missing more than 10% of the required training sessions (both unexcused absence and unapproved leave of absence (even with advance notice) are considered as absence)* Students participating in online training do not have enough indoor activity space for class* Students participating in online training do not use a camera that allows the instructor to see the full-body movement* Refusing to follow instructions in the course* Disrespect toward the course instructor* Not passing certification exam at one level lower (if applicable)* Any other circumstances where the course instructor deems the applicant unqualified (with supporting evidence)
Exam Information
1. The applicant must register an account on the Shen Yun Arts Proficiency Assessment Center website.2. The application must be confirmed by an instructor with a teaching certificate on the platform.3. The applicant must complete online or offline exams within the specified time.* Applicant taking online exams is required to upload videos within 7 days after the exam starts.* Offline exams will be given at facilities authorized by the Shen Yun Arts Proficiency Assessment Center website.4. Applicants who fail an exam can have a retake free of charge within 12 months.5. Applicants who fail a retake within 12 months must pay all exam fees should they desire to retake the exam again.
Exam Requirements
1. Content of the exam is every combination of dance moves taught in the level.2. The applicant must complete each combination on his or her own.3. The applicant must demonstrate the movement and essentials both clearly and skillfully.4. Dress code is monochrome training clothing and black pants. Applicant should be well groomed.5. Videos submitted by online applicants need to meet the following requirements:* There should be a separate video for every combination of dance moves, and the video should be such that the entire body of the applicant can be seen at all times. The video cannot be edited.* The videos of all combinations must be completed within 24 hours of each other.* Videos for the exams must be submitted within one week.* Resolution of the video is to be at least 720p.* Audio must not be too noisy.
