(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Guo Fengrong Harassed

1. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners including Liu Zhenqing from Nankouqian Town, and Du Qinghua and Zhang Chuanwen, from the Xiaolaihe Iron Mine, were arrested by officers from the Nankouqian Town Police Station at noon on December 4, 2022. They have been detained in the Nangou Detention Center in Fushun City. Zhang Chuanwen’s family was informed that Zhang was officially arrested.

2. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Four practitioners including Ms. Qu, Liu Mingzhen, Zhang Xiangqun and Li Jinru, were arrested by police officers in the Tongchuan District on October 16 to 18, 2022. Their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong’s founder, computer, printer, and other items.

Zhang Xiangqun and Li Jinru were detained for two weeks and about 40 days respectively. Liu Mingzhen is still detained in the Wanyuan Detention Center.

3. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhou Shaoping Harassed and Arrested

Ms. Zhou Shaoping, 71, was arrested at her daughter’s home by officers from the Haozhou Road Police Station at 8 a.m. on October 9, 2021. The police ransacked the home and confiscated Ms. Zhou’s Falun Gong books and 5,000 yuan in paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong. Ms. Zhou was taken to the police station. She was detained in a metal cage and was interrogated. Her blood pressure was over 200. She was released at around 9 p.m.

Ms. Zhou has been harassed many times since then. Two officers, led by Director Huang from the Heyedi Sub-district Office, went to her daughter’s home in a police car at 9 a.m. on March 28, 2022. They videotaped and pressured her to sign a document.

4. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhao Qunlan Dies after Being Persecuted

Ms. Zhao Qunlan lived in Qianlianghu Town, Junshan District. Ms. Zhao was persecuted while she was imprisoned, which caused her to have high blood pressure and heart problems. She was injected with drugs in the forced labor camp, which damaged her central nervous system, resulting in long-term physical weakness and rickets. She was also constantly harassed. Ms. Zhao was only 58 when she died on December 6, 2022. She was harassed by the local community staff members the day before she died, which is one of the several episodes of harassment she suffered in December 2022.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

Officers from the Hongqi Street Police Station and Changjiu Road Police Station in the Chaoyang District went to the homes of Ma Guiqing, He Yan and Zhang Wengui respectively on December 5, 2022. They arrested He Yan, Ma Guiqing and two other practitioners, Liu and Ma, who were visiting Ma Guiqing’s home at the time. The police confiscated three printers, one laptop, one projector, a digital camera, and over 10 media players. He Yan was released that evening. The other three practitioners were released the next afternoon.

Officers from the Changjiu Road Police Station went to Wang Min’s home on December 8, 2022. They confiscated several Falun Gong books. Wang Min was released after paying the 5,000 yuan bail.

6. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Guo Fengrong Harassed

Four officers, including Liu Hongliang from the Zhongyuan District Police Department and Li Xin from the Linshanzhai Police Station, went to Ms. Guo Fengrong’s home at 10 p.m. on December 14, 2022. They ransacked her home. Ms. Guo, over 70, had to leave her home to avoid further persecution.
