(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Fan Wenfang Detained
2. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Face Trial
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Bian Chunlei Formally Arrested
4. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested
5. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Hou Ruixiang and Ms. Wang Fumei Arrested
6. [Chongqing] Mr. Su Xiangfu Harassed
1. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Fan Wenfang Detained
Ms. Fan Wenfang was arrested in July 2022. She is being held in the Fuyang City Women’s Detention Center.
2. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Face Trial
Mr. Zhao Juncheng and six other practitioners will be tried by the Dengta City Court on January 9, 2023. The trial was delayed because of the pandemic.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Bian Chunlei Formally Arrested
Mr. Bian Chunlei was arrested in November 2022 after he went to the police department to look for his father who had been arrested. Mr. Bian was tracked by the police. The arrest warrant was issued in December.
4. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Wang Lanying’s home was ransacked by seven or eight officers from the Gongchen Police Station in the Fangshan District on November 2, 2022, after someone reported her to the police. The officers seized a picture of Falun Gong’s founder, a poster with the Falun emblem, Falun Gong books, music players, disc players, wall decorations, Chinese character decorations, keepsakes, and other items.
Ms. Wang and four other practitioners who were at the scene, Zhao Jiawei, Wang Shulian, Di Hone, and Xu Jianmei, were arrested and taken to the police station. Afterward, the four practitioners’ homes were ransacked. Police confiscated their Falun Gong books, pictures of Falun Gong’s founder, TF cards, U-drives, notebook computers, and other items.
The practitioners were taken to a detention center on the evening of November 3, 2022. The guards refused to admit them because they all failed to pass the physical entry exam. They were released on bail the next morning.
5. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Hou Ruixiang and Ms. Wang Fumei Arrested
Ms. Hou Ruixiang and Ms. Wang Fumei were arrested by officers from the Zhenlin Police Station on October 19, 2022, after someone reported them. They were taken to the police station. The officers searched them and found Ms. Hou had nine keepsakes.
Ms. Wang was detained for five days but was released because of the pandemic. Ms. Hou was detained and was later released for medical treatment. She was arrested again on December 13. Ms. Wang is listed in the wanted list by the Linzhou and the Anyang Domestic Security Divisions.
6. [Chongqing] Mr. Su Xiangfu Harassed
Mr. Su Xiangfu was harassed at home by officers from the Nandajie Police Station after 2:00 p.m. in September 2022. The officers said that he distributed Falun Gong flyers and was needed to fill out a police record at the police station. An officer seized his copy of Zhuan Falun.
