(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiao Shufang and Mr. Zhou Qijun Harassed
8. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Gou Yufen Harassed
1. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Seven Detained Practitioners Abused and Face Indictment
Li Chuanlu, Sun Yurong, Liu Mingsen, Shang Sufang, Wang Chengguo, Xu Jinfeng, and Lu Jinyu were arrested for the second time on the afternoon of November 7, 2022. They have been held in the Zhengtai Grand Hotel isolation center in the Chiping District. They were confined in rooms without hot water. They had to ask for water each time they were thirsty.
The practitioners became sick after some time. Li and Sun were released for medical treatment. Shang was taken to the hospital. Xu and Lu were later released for medical treatment. Officers had to carry them out because they were too weak to walk. Wang and Liu are also sick. They asked to be released, but their requests were denied. They are still being held there.
Prosecutors recommended sentencing the seven practitioners to prison, ranging from two years to life imprisonment.
2. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zuo Li Detained
Ms. Zuo Li from Chenggu County distributed Falun Gong flyers in March 2022. She was recorded by the surveillance system. Officers from the Chenggu County Police Department arrested her and ransacked her home. She was later released.
Chenggu County Police Department officers forced her to undergo nucleic acid tests twice in early July 2022. Afterwards, her family and friends lost contact with her. They recently learned that she was held in the Hantai District Detention Center.
3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Tianfu Faces Trial
Mr. Zhu Tianfu from the Fangzi District was arrested and taken to the Jiangjia Brainwashing Center on December 6, 2022. He will be tried in court on December 23. The location of the trial is unknown.
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Huamei Sentenced
Ms. Zhao Huamei from Changle County was sentenced.
5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Dinggang Detained
Mr. Zhang Dinggang, his wife, and their child were arrested at home by Lichang District officers on December 10, 2022. His wife and child were released.
6. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xiong Huaying Released
Ms. Xiong Huaying was arrested by officers from the Tengwangge Police Station on December 8, 2022. Her home was ransacked. She was released at around 9:00 p.m. that night.
7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiao Shufang and Mr. Zhou Qijun Harassed
Ms. Jiao Shufang and Mr. Zhou Qijun were harassed at home on November 27, 2022 by five or six people, including three from the local police station. The officers questioned them and asked if they still practiced Falun Gong. They were repeatedly taken to the Sihe Police Station. They were ordered to sign documents, but they did not comply. Officers repeatedly photographed them, collected their fingerprints, footprints, saliva samples, and voice samples. The officers also threatened to detain them.
8. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Gou Yufen Harassed
Ms. Gou Yufen received a harassing call from officer Li Haitao from the Jingerlu Police Station before the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Community Party. Li ordered her to renounce Falun Gong. She refused.
In 2021, Li called Ms. Gou Yufen’s ex-husband, and then called her son, who lived out of town. He ordered them to transfer Ms. Gou’s registered permanent residence.
