7. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Yuanzhi and Ms. Sheng Shuli Harassed
8. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
1. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Arrested
Ms. Zhao from the Economic and Technological Development Zone, in her 60s, was on the wanted list. She was arrested by officers from the Taoyuan Police Station in the Shidaowan Development Zone, Rongcheng City, when she was shopping in the Jiajiayue Supermarket on the afternoon of September 19, 2023.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Fuling Arrested and Detained
Ms. Gao Fuling and Ms. Ding Yuanyun were arrested around July 26, 2022 for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Forest Zoo. Ms. Ding was later released. Ms. Gao is now held in the Yaojia Detention Center.
3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Guizhen Detained
Ms. Xu Guizhen, 58, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison by the Fangzi District Court on June 12, 2023. Due to her health, she was not detained. She appealed the case against her.
Ms. Xu was arrested at home by officers from the Fenghuang Police Station and the Fangzi District Police Department on the morning of August 4, 2023. She was held in the Weifang City Detention Center.
4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Female Practitioner Arrested and Detained
A female practitioner was reported to police for distributing truth-clarifying materials and was arrested by police in Yanshou County on September 27, 2023. The police ransacked her home and confiscated money imprinted with Falun Gong facts, truth-clarifying materials, a computer, cell phone, etc. The practitioner refused to cooperate during the interrogation and was taken to the Harbin City Detention Center.
5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Dai Mingrong Persecuted
Ms. Dai Mingrong from Zhaoyuan County was arrested at her home on September 12, 2022. She was sentenced to 10 months in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. She was first held in the Dumeng Detention Center and was later transferred to the Daqing City Detention Center in 2023.
Ms. Dai was in poor health when she was released on September 17, 2023. She was emaciated and her body shook. She also had panic attacks.
6. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Guifeng Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Guifeng was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong in the Xiangyindu Town Market, Yongxing County, on September 11, 2023. She was detained for 10 days.
7. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Yuanzhi and Ms. Sheng Shuli Harassed
Four officers from the Zhugou Police Station went to Ms. Qu Yuanzhi’s home around 7:30 p.m. on September 25, 2023. They confiscated a Falun Gong book and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder from Ms. Qu’s home and demanded that she go to the police station. She refused to cooperate.
These same officers also went to Ms. Sheng Shuli’s home on September 26, 2023. They didn’t get in because the door was locked.
8. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Xiangshan Community staff members have harassed three practitioners repeatedly since May 2023. The practitioners being harassed are: Mr. Liang Yuhua from Renli Town, 85, Ms. Yang Yufang, 58, and Ms. Liang Suzhen, over 80. The practitioners were pressured to sign a guarantee statement.
