(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners from Greece, Turkey, and Germany held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate in Athens on October 5, 2023. They called for an end to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime’s persecution, which was launched in 1999. Most importantly they especially called for an end to the CCP’s crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

George Tzokas, spokesperson of the Falun Dafa Association of Greece introduced Falun Dafa’s principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” and described facts of the CCP’s persecution, using its state apparatus during the past 24 years.
Criminal activities include “arbitrary arrest, imprisonment, torture, forced labor, and organ harvesting from living practitioners, and have constituted a crime against humanity,” he said. Tzokas called for an immediate release of Falun Gong practitioners detained by the CCP.

Ding Lebin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shandong Province, China, recounted how his parents had been harassed and imprisoned multiple times by local authorities. Both of his parents were taken away from their tea garden by local police on May 12, 2023. Their home was searched and their properties confiscated.
Lebin has traveled to several European countries calling for help in the rescue of his parents. He was invited to give an interview by the Polis Mag in Athens in September. He exposed the CCP’s crimes to “Doctors Without Borders and Doctors of the World.” Everyone he had talked to was willing to support his rescue efforts.
Lebin’s mother has been released, but his father is still in custody. Lebin called for the employees of the Chinese Consulate to stop assisting the CCP in committing crimes.

The rally received support from the public. A security guard was touched by Ding Lebin’s experience of rescuing his parents. He told Lebin with tears in his eyes, “My best wishes to your parents!”
Some people stopped their cars at the rally and received fliers from practitioners. A driver said, “I feel for you! Hope the persecution will come to an end soon!”
A young man who lived nearby told practitioners that he would help spread the word.
