(Minghui.org) I am a middle-aged woman and I feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to practice Falun Dafa at this special time in history. I would like to share some of my experiences while clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa over the past two years—I hope to encourage other practitioners.

Bike Crash

I work in a supermarket, when one day I heard a loud “bang” outside, as if a car crashed into something. The manager went out, and found a young man driving a SUV hit my electric bike. The manager took over my work and told me to go out to take a look. The back of my electric bike was smashed in.

The young man was a little excited that the pandemic lockdown had just been lifted. He hadn’t driven in his car for quite a while, and was a little rusty, so he ran off the road and drove onto the curb. When he saw me checking my damaged bike, he was afraid that I would try to extort money from him, and said, “Take it to a repair shop, and I’ll pay for the repair.”

“It’s okay!” I replied. “You can leave. I’ll take it to the repair shop and have it fixed.”

My response surprised him, and he wanted to give me some cash. I thanked him for the offer, and told him that I didn’t want his money. The people who witnessed what happened were also surprised. Usually in a vehicle accident, two sides would quarrel and argue over compensation. But today’s situation was different, the owner of the damaged bike didn’t want the money.

I told the young man that I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, I would not blackmail him, and hoped he would remember that, Falun Dafa is good. After saying that, I went back into the store and resumed working.

The manager and my coworkers asked how I dealt with the incident. I told them that I let the young man leave. They all said I was silly. Someone who knew the young man said he was arrogant, and would not be grateful. I smiled and said he could do whatever he wanted, as I had my way of dealing with things.

Two days later, the young man came to our store to buy something, and he kept thanking me. He had been told about Falun Dafa before, but he scoffed at it, but this time he finally believed in the power of the Fa. From then on, he was polite when he came to our store, and everyone there said he was like a different person.

Growing in Maturity Through Telling the Truth about Dafa

When I saw other practitioners clarify the truth well, I envied them—sometimes I got stuck and didn’t know how to respond to questions. I made up my mind that if I couldn’t answer a question clearly this time, I would think about how to answer it in a way that would help the other person understand. Sometimes, when I was reading the Fa, or talking with other practitioners, my question was answered. When I only thought about how to explain the facts about Falun Dafa to people, and I felt more and more mature in my cultivation.

One day, I thought about doing a role play, and told my practitioner husband, “You pretend to be an ordinary person and try to make the questions as hard as you can, to see where I still fall short.” He smiled and agreed.

As soon as I began to talk, my husband told me to leave. I froze for a moment, but it prompted me to quickly get into my role. I began to explain some facts about Dafa. He was really helpful, and brought up all sorts of questions, and made things hard for me. In his role, no matter what I said, he just wouldn’t quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Even after exhausting all of his questions, he wouldn’t back down. I treated him as a sentient being, but he wouldn’t agree with what I said.

We talked for a long time, and finally he laughed and told me what was on his mind, “You know what? In the middle of your speech, I was almost in tears. You spoke quite well, I hope you can persist.” But my cultivation state was good one day and not so good the next.

I went out to clarify the facts to people, and ran into a middle-aged woman who was quite easy to talk it. As soon as I mentioned quitting the Party, she turned around and walked away. I hesitated before I began following her. Compassion made me not want to give up on her.

As she walked away in a hurry, she appeared a little unsteady. I went up and held her arm, and said, “You are a good person. I hope that all good people have a bright future, so I need to tell you something. If we miss this chance today, you and I may never see each other again.”

She looked at me, and I thought perhaps my sincerity touched her. She did not refuse my help, and we walked down the street, like good friends chatting.

I told her about the CCP’s corruption, people’s declining morality, and how the Party does not care about people’s lives. China’s troubles were all caused by the CCP’s promotion of atheism. She had a smile on her face as she quit the Youth League and the Youth Pioneers, the CCP youth organizations she joined in the past.

When it was time to part, she thanked me.
