(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from Hanover, Germany and surrounding areas held an information day on Saturday October 14, 2023. They hold the event every month in Hanover’s city center to introduce Falun Dafa and tell people how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes the spiritual discipline.

Many people signed the petition calling on the German government to condemn the CCP for persecuting Falun Dafa and sanctioning forced organ harvesting, and to urge the regime to stop these crimes against humanity.

At the Falun Dafa information booth in Hanover on October 14, many people signed the petition calling for an end to the atrocities in China.

Many locals and tourists came to the information booth that day and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Dafa. Some came alone, others came in groups. They listened to practitioners explain Falun Dafa and tell why people practice and why the CCP persecutes it. They were shocked and dismayed to learn how horrible the suppression is, in particular the taking of organs from detained Falun Dafa practitioners without their consent, sometimes while they are still alive.

I Have Taken a Small Step in the Right Direction

Julienne Stück, who raises funds for an international organization that helps children, was in Hanover on a business trip. As soon as she noticed the information booth, she asked about Falun Dafa, why was it suppressed in China, and why practitioners are targeted for organ harvesting.

Julienne Stück hopes that signing the petition can bring change, and that more people will sign it.

She said that Falun Dafa’s fundamental principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance “are full of empathy” and “crucial” and that “the world needs these principles.” As she signed the petition, she said, “This is a small step in the right direction. I hope the petition can bring about change and that more people will sign it.”

She explained, “I think it is important that you tell people about the persecution because we hardly see any reports about this in Germany.” She thanked practitioners for their time, said she was interested in learning Falun Dafa, and asked where the practice site was.

When one woman heard about the forced organ harvesting, she said she thought such crimes were intolerable. After she said she was seriously ill last year, practitioners explained the principles of Falun Dafa, the health benefits of the practice, and that many people found meaning in life by practicing.

She was interested in learning Dafa and asked where the nearest practice site was. When they gave her a link to register for online classes, she was delighted and kept thanking them. She went away with several Falun Dafa pamphlets.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the CCP, perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the Party’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems, and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
