(Minghui.org) Another practitioner and I talked to a man in his 70s. We learned that he served in the military and was a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) member. He received several thousand yuan from state subsidies every year. He refused to quit the CCP and said, “I will quit if you give me 100 yuan.”
We explained why one should quit the CCP, “The money you get is not given by the CCP. It comes from the taxes and fees paid by working people. The CCP does not produce anything, and relies on people to support it.” The man agreed to quit the CCP.
After we left on our bikes, the man suddenly shouted, “Please come back!” We went back, wondering what he wanted. The man said sincerely, “There is an old man plowing the field in the valley below. He is also a CCP member. Please go and save him! Help him quit the CCP.”
We went to the valley and saw an old man plowing the field.
“Are you Mr. Liu?” I asked. “Yes. How did you know my name?” We explained that the man told us. “He asked us to tell you the truth so you will have a good future.” Mr. Liu listened and quit the CCP.
“You Are Doing a Good Deed!”
We met an elderly man who was fishing. We clarified the truth to him, and he understood and quit the Youth League. I gave him a Falun Dafa keepsake which had information about Falun Dafa.
The elderly man kept saying, “You are doing a good deed! I will ask my son to donate some money to you.” I said, “This is given to you for free. Dafa saves people and does not want any money.” He was very grateful.
One day, in front of a red roofed house, I helped another elderly man quit the CCP’s organizations. I asked him who else was in his family. He said his wife was working in the vegetable field, and joined the Youth League when she was young.
We didn’t know where the vegetable field was, so we set off to another village. Just after we exited the village, an elderly lady walked towards us.
“Grandma, do you live in that house?” I pointed to the red roofed house. “Yes. How did you know?”
“We just spoke with your husband.”
She smiled. We clarified the truth and helped her quit the CCP’s Youth League. “You are doing a good deed!” she said. “Please come to our house to have a cup of tea.”
We thanked her but continued on our way.
The Watermelon Tasted Particularly Sweet That Day
Two years ago on a hot summer day, we went to a mountain village. We knocked on a door. An elderly man welcomed us and invited us in. He was very kind and offered us water. We clarified the truth to him and he agreed to quit the CCP’s youth organizations. We also gave him some informational materials.
“You came to do good deed on such a hot day!” He wanted to cut a watermelon for us, but we politely declined and left.
Last year during a scorching hot day, we went to a beautiful farmyard. A young couple and an elderly lady were picking peanuts near the gate. I gave a truth-clarification brochure to the wife and clarified the truth to them. The wife quickly quit the CCP’s organizations, and the elderly lady did too. The husband lowered his head and did not say anything.
I told him, “What a wonderful family you have! Wouldn’t it be great if you all quit the CCP so your whole family were blessed?” He agreed to quit.
Next to their yard was their small shop. A junior high school girl, the daughter of the young couple, was inside. I clarified the truth to her, and she immediately agreed to quit the Youth League.
The girl wanted watermelon, and her mother came in and cut one open. The mother insisted on giving each of us a piece. After running around in the sweltering heat that day, the watermelon tasted particularly sweet.
“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance: These Three Words Are Really Good!”
We met two elderly ladies in a house on a hillside. I clarified the truth about Dafa to them. One of them, who looked very kind, was illiterate and said she never went to school or joined any CCP organizations. I taught them several times how to say, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, these three words are really good! I love them!” The kind looking lady said. “I did not plan to visit my friend today. But I came. I feel so comfortable hearing these three words!”
The other practitioner was touched. Afterwards she told me, “I seldom clarify the truth because I was lazy. Now, I see that it is wrong not to go out and save people. People are waiting to be saved!”
“Please Give Us More Truth-Clarification Materials.”
One hot afternoon last summer, two practitioners and I went to some vegetable greenhouses. In an open space between two greenhouses, I talked to a foreman, and another practitioner talked to three female workers, while the third practitioner sent forth righteous thoughts.
The foreman was in his 50s. They were all from Shandong Province and came to Hubei Province to build vegetable greenhouses. I handed the foreman some truth-clarification materials. He read them while he listened to me. He understood the truth and quit the CCP.
Two workers were welding steel frames on the roof of a greenhouse. I advised them to withdraw from the CCP’s organizations. One of them quit immediately. The other refused to quit. The foreman told me their names and said that the one who did not quit served in the army and was a CCP member. The foreman called the man’s name and persuaded him to quit the CCP, and the man agreed.
“Please give us more truth clarification materials,” the foreman said. “There are many people in our dormitory, and there is not much to do at night. I will show them these.”
I told him they could take turns reading them and then pass them on. He nodded. I pointed to a group of workers and asked the foreman who they were. He said they all came from the same place. “They are easy to talk to.”
“Even He Doesn’t Want to Quit the CCP, I Will Do it!”
I walked up to two workers who were measuring with an instrument on a tripod. I handed a truth clarification booklet to the older man and advised him to quit the CCP. He said he was busy.
“Even if he doesn’t want to quit the CCP, I will do it!” the younger man exclaimed. “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” He told me that many people in his hometown practiced Falun Dafa.
Encountering a Former Practitioner
I walked further and saw a burly man in his 50s. I handed him a truth clarification booklet.
“What’s this?” he asked. “Falun Dafa truth clarification materials,” I replied.
He was excited and told me he used to practice Dafa. He stopped practicing because he worked out of town. I asked him if he still had his Dafa books. “Yes I have them at home. I kept them well.” He was very happy to talk to me, as if he reunited with a family member he hadn’t seen in years. “I didn’t expect to meet a Falun Dafa practitioner thousands of miles from home!”
I told him there are many practitioners in this region. I gave him various truth-clarifying materials. I advised him to read them carefully, and not to miss the precious opportunity to cultivate. The man took the materials happily.
