(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Xu Guiyun, Ms. Sun Youlan, and Ms. Mao Cuiying were taken to a brainwashing center in Changsong Village, Bofan Town, at the end of September 2023.
2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Yuzhong Arrested
Mr. Zhao Yuzhong from the Shizhong District was arrested by officers from the Gaoer Police Station when he distributed truth-clarifying materials on October 8, 2023.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yin Yueying Arrested and Detained
Ms. Yin Yueying, over 70, was arrested by Supo Police Station officers in the Qingyang District at 5 p.m. on September 26, 2023. She is currently detained in the Chengdu City Detention Center.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Yue Arrested
Officers from the Chengxi Police Station in the Luyan District, Changchun City, and from the Gongzhuling City Police Department went to the home of Mr. Zhang Yue and his wife Ms. Li Guiying at 7 p.m. on September 8, 2023. Ms. Li was not there. Mr. Zhang Ye was arrested. The police ransacked the couple’s home and confiscated their Falun Gong books, photo of Falun Gong's founder, media player, cell phone, cell phone memory card, social security card, household registration book, the key to their child’s e-bike, and 55,000 yuan in cash. The couple’s child went to the police station the next day and tried to get the money back. The police demanded that Ms. Li come to the police station. She had to leave home to avoid further persecution.
Her parents have been harassed by the police multiple times since then. The police wanted to know where Ms. Li was.
5. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xiao Hua Arrested and Detained
Ms. Xiao Hua, 63, was reported to the police for talking to a soldier about Falun Gong and was arrested on September 19, 2023. She was taken to the Mudanjiang City Detention Center. Her family learned on September 27, 2023, that Ms. Xiao was officially arrested.
6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Harassed
Ms. Zheng was reported to the police for distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Gaoxin District and was harassed at home by two officers and two community staff members on the morning of October 9, 2023. She refused to open the door for them. The officers ordered her to go to the police station on October 11, 2023.
7. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Zhongyi Arrested
Mr. Liu Zhongyi from the Shuangtaizi District was arrested around October 1, 2023.
8. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Guilan Arrested and Ms. Xu Xiaoyan Detained
Ms. Jiang Guilan, 68, was arrested at home by Li Shangyuan, deputy of the Caitun Police Station in the Xihu District, and other officers on September 18, 2023. The Benxi City Detention Center refused to admit her due to her high blood pressure. She was released on bail pending trial.
Ms. Xu Xiaoyan from Zhuanshan Community was held for 15 days in the Benxi City Detention House and was released on October 4, 2023.
9. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested
Several practitioners were arrested around July 20, 2023. Eight of them, Ms. Zhang Shuhua, Ms. Chi Suqin, Ms. Ding Shuxian, Ms. Wang Shuhua, Ms. Liu Lifen, Mr. Zhang Qun and his wife, and Jiang, have been released. Mr. Jin Yongzhe has still not returned home, and his whereabouts are unknown.
10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wei Deli and Ms. Qi Xiuhong Arrested and Detained
Mr. Wei Deli and his wife Ms. Qi Xiuhong were arrested by officers from the Dongfeng Street Police Station and from the Changchun City Police Department on July 20, 2023. The police confiscated two sets of Falun Gong books and a laptop. The couple was held for 10 days in a detention house. Ms. Qi was then transferred to the Xinglongshan Detention Center and where she is still detained. Mr. Wei was released and was placed under residential surveillance due to high blood pressure. He has been missing for over 20 days. It is possible that he was arrested again.
