(Minghui.org) The British Prime Minister’s Office once said that Falun Dafa is, “an advocate for world peace.” A number of people who stopped to talk to Falun Dafa practitioners during a recent peaceful protest at the Chinese Embassy in London agreed with this statement. Dafa practitioners were there on October 1, 2023 to tell people how Falun Dafa has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the past 24 years. They condemned the decades-long persecution and called on Chinese people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Many people signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Dr. Liu Wei, President of the UK Falun Dafa Association, addressed the event and said that ever since the CCP usurped power in China it launched one political movement after another to create a climate of terror. The CCP controls all of the media outlets in China and spreads its communist ideology to brainwash younger generations, including children as young as preschoolers. The CCP intends to turn them into robots who cannot discern right from wrong. “This is how the evil CCP destroys lives,” Dr. Liu said.
He said the persecution began in July 1999 and has gone on for 24 years. The lives of over 100 million innocent people who practice Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance fell into hardship. Their families were broken up, many became destitute, were incarcerated and tortured in forced labor camps, prisons, and detention centers. So far at least 5,000 practitioners are confirmed to have died as a result of the persecution.
“Good deeds are rewarded, but evil is punished. It’s just a matter of time [for the CCP to receive karmic retribution],” Dr. Liu said.
Young Tibetan Empathizes With Practitioners
Lacuo is a young Tibetan whose father was a monk when he lived in Tibet. After the CCP took over Tibet and persecuted Tibetans, he was exiled to India, Nepal, and then Bhutan. Lacuo was born in India and her family eventually moved to England.
Lacuo, who is Tibetan, said she understands practitioners’ pain and supports their efforts to end the persecution.
“I love Tibet, its culture, and everything about it. This persecution is how the CCP cracks down on and tortures people. The people are innocent. We should condemn the CCP,” said Lacuo.
As a Tibetan she understands practitioners’ suffering. She explained that if her family hadn’t left Tibet, they would have been targeted for persecution.
Falun Dafa’s Principles Offer Hope
John, who works in the publishing industry, signed the petition with his wife. They explained that they recently went to Berlin and learned about the Nazis, and he sympathizes with those living under tyranny. “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is the hope for peace. The CCP fears these universal values and so they persecute Falun Dafa,” John said.
Many people who lived through WWII believed that it was the worst thing that could have happened. However for the Falun Dafa practitioners in China, such persecution is still happening and has gone on much longer than WWII.
John said that he and his wife signed the petition to support practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution.
John was glad to hear that the British Parliament passed a bill to ban British people from traveling to China to receive organ transplants. “This contributes to saving people and humanity. The British people are waking up,” he said.
