1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Miao Shuqing Faces Trial
Ms. Miao Shuqing, 75, was arrested by six officers in Benxi City when she traveled there with her family on the morning of August 11, 2023. She was escorted back and taken to the Fushun City Detention Center. Her lawyer tried to visit her on September 25, 2023, but failed because Ms. Miao fell in the detention center and fractured her hip. The lawyer was able to meet her on October 9, 2023. She was carried out by the guards. Her family received the Wanghua Court notification recently, that she would be tried in court soon.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Case Against Ms. Li Yanmin Submitted to the Chaoyang District Court
The case against Ms. Li Yanmin was recently submitted to the Chaoyang District Court.
3. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Before Ms. Zhang Shufen was arrested on October 17, 2023, she was monitored by police. She was arrested a month later after she moved to Dongfeng County to take care of her husband who is paralyzed and bedridden.
Ms. Liang Guijuan was arrested at her workplace, Weijin Grain Depot, on October 17, 2023.
Ms. Gu Jiumei who is retired, was tricked into going to her previous workplace, Yuguiyuan Property, and was arrested on October 17, 2023.
4. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Dongying Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Dongying was arrested on the afternoon of December 28, 2022. Her case was submitted to the Feng County Procuratorate in the first half of 2023 and was transferred to the Jintai District Procuratorate in August 2023.
Ms. Li was arrested on October 18, 2023, after the arrest notice was issued by the Jintai District Procuratorate.
5. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yin Guilian Harassed
Lu Zhendong, deputy of the Qinglong County Domestic Security Division, and his driver went to harass Ms. Yin Guilin in Qianzhuang Village, Qinglong Town on July 12, 2023. Ms. Yin was not at home. They demanded Ms. Yin go to the police department. Three days later, Lu Zhendong and the driver went to the vendor stand that Ms. Yin owned. They confiscated her cell phone and forcefully took her to the police department. Ms. Yin was pressured to sign the guarantee statement. She refused. They finally let her go.
6. [Tianjin] The Case Against Ms. Liu Shuling Submitted to the Procuratorate
Ms. Liu Shuling from Ninghe District has been detained in a detention center, brainwashing center, and forced labor camps multiple times in the past 24 years.
Ms. Liu was arrested by officers from the Qiaobei Police Station in Ninghe District in 2022 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was released on bail pending trial and has been constantly harassed by police. She was recently informed that her case was submitted to the Ninghe District Procuratorate.
7. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
Several practitioners in Tongjiangkou Township were harassed by local police on October 23, 2023. The police went to the practitioners’ homes. They videotaped the practitioners and asked for the cell phone numbers and workplaces of other practitioners and their family members
8. [Xingtang County, Hebei] Ms. Liu Wenhua Arrested and Detained
Ms. Liu Wenhua was tricked into going to the local police station by officers who came to her home on September 26, 2023. She was arrested there and was detained for 10 days in the Shijiazhuang City Detention House. The police recently harassed her at her home three times before she was arrested. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, amulets and a list of people who withdrew from the CCP and its organizations.
9. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Harassed
Three officers from the Huanggezhuang Town Police Station in Fengnan District went to harass four practitioners on October 23, 2023. They are Ms. Zhang Ruilian, Ms. Dong Shuhong, Ms. Xia Youhui, and Ms. Wu Xiuling. The police photographed the practitioners and asked whether they still practiced Falun Gong.
Ms. Wang Huilin was harassed at home on September 19, 2023. Ms. Li Ruihua was harassed at home on September 27, 2023.
10. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Sufang Harassed
Ms. Wang Sufang, 65, was released from the Chengdu City Women’s Prison and returned home on February 6, 2020. Since then she has been constantly harassed by local community staff members and officers from the Yongxing Town Police Station.
Three people claimed that they were from the natural gas company and tricked Ms. Wang into opening the door for them one day in June 2023. They photographed her. Ms. Wang’s daughter received a harassing call from Luzhou Community in July 2023. The community staff members later came to her home and photographed her.
11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Yueming Detained
Ms. Han Yueming was recently arrested and detained for 15 days. She has returned home.
12. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yujiao Sent to Shandong Province Women’s Prison
Ms. Sun Yujiao, of Mengyin County, Linyi City, Shandong Province, was arrested at home on June 10, 2021. She was taken to Linyi Detention Center and later sentenced to seven years. She was transferred to Shandong Women’s Prison about a year ago.
In addition to Ms. Sun’s own plight, both of her parents were persecuted to death. Her mother, Ms. Yu Zaihua, died on August 19, 2015, after being destitute for 11 years. She was 47. Her father, Mr. Sun Pinjin, died on June 19, 2021, only one day after his arrest. According to his family, he was leaking brain fluid, one of his eyeballs was missing, and his abdomen and half of his head were sunken. The police refused to allow his family to order an autopsy.
