(Minghui.org) Another practitioner and I were reported to the police when we clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to people in March 2023. Three days later, a large group of officers broke into my home and arrested me. They took me to the police station, and asked me to explain what happened.
As I talked, the police recorded what I said, “We saw an old lady who was unsteady on her feet and tried to cross the road. We hurried over and held her arms, while guiding her across the road. I said, ‘Aunt, if you fall, you may be injured and cause your family difficulty.’ She said her family ignored her. I replied that young people are busy with work and under much pressure nowadays. So, we must care for ourselves and save others hardship.”
I told her that I used to have leg pain, but it went away after I repeatedly recited, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I also told her Falun Dafa is the great cultivation way and Gods and Buddhas help those who believe in Dafa. Her eyes lit up, and she asked if it was true. I said, “It is. Our Master asks us to help save people. If you sincerely recite the auspicious words, they will work.” I also persuaded her to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. She smiled and said she believed us. Since she had difficulty remembering the auspicious nine words after we repeated them many times, we gave her a Falun Dafa amulet with the verses on it. However, when the old lady’s family found it, they reported us to the police. The police told us what happened.
After I told the police what happened that day, I started talking about Falun Dafa. “These days, good and evil are reversed, and people have confused right and wrong. However, people have a conscience and can distinguish between good and evil.” I told them about the miserable fate of those who persecuted people during the Cultural Revolution and reminded them, “If you treat Dafa practitioners who cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance like criminals, the consequences will be dire. We treat people selflessly by following the universal principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Even if others treat us badly, we cannot treat them the same way. As for today’s incident, you broke into my house and quarreled with my daughter-in-law and husband. But I maintained a peaceful attitude. You treat Dafa practitioners like we are criminals. I should hate you for the way you mistreated us. However, we follow the great law of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and Master’s teaching. I don’t hate you. Instead, I sympathize with you, as you don’t understand what you did.”
A police officer said, “I think you have done an excellent job in this regard.” I told him this is what Dafa teaches us to do, and then asked him, “Do you think we are good people or bad people?” The officer said, “There is not much we can do. Since you were reported, we had to take you in.”
I said, “We have never been involved in politics. We are just practitioners. If you want to practice Falun Dafa, we will teach you. If you don’t want to practice, no one will force you. People in over 100 countries practice Falun Dafa.
“Before the persecution of Falun Dafa started, the former Chairman of the National People's Congress, Qiao Shi, conducted an investigation. He concluded that ‘Falun Dafa has hundreds of benefits and [does] no harm to society.’ Many high-ranking CCP officials practiced Falun Dafa. When Jiang Zemin, head of the CCP, wanted to persecute Falun Dafa, six of the seven CCP Standing Committee members did not support the idea. Even Jiang’s relatives practiced Falun Dafa, and Prime Minister Zhu Rongji said to let practitioners follow their faith freely. Jiang accused Zhu of ‘destroying the CCP’ and launched the bloody persecution despite the lack of support from the other members.
“Jiang’s persecution violated China’s Constitution and is illegal. The reason was that Jiang was jealous after seeing so many people practicing Falun Dafa and respecting the founder, Master Li. At that time, 100 million people were practicing Falun Dafa in China. Without Jiang’s persecution, our entire nation’s moral standard and health would have improved. Everyone would strive to be a good person and a better people. Don’t you think such a society would be good?”
The police listened with great interest. One officer said, “Please stop talking. Otherwise, we will all be converted.” Another said, “You can tell people this as long as you don’t distribute the printed materials.” They also asked me, “Aunt, how did we treat you?” I told them they treated me well because they fed me, gave me water, and sincerely listened to what I said. “You are all very lovely and lively young people. I want to emphasize that the Dharma ending age is now, and the entire universe is undergoing major changes. Every one of you must position yourself well. Remember that Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good, and you will have a beautiful future.”
They did heshi (holding palms together in front of the chest as a sign of respect) to thank me. Around 8 p.m., they drove me home in a private car.
From this incident, I understand that everything I encounter is not an accident; a bad thing could turn into a good thing. I am truly happy for the police officers who learned about and accepted the truth. I also feel our great responsibility as practitioners because so many Chinese people have been deceived by the CCP’s lies and still do not know the facts about Falun Dafa. We must strive to do the three things well, clarify the truth, save more sentient beings, and fulfill our prehistoric vows in the limited time we have left.
