(Minghui.org) People’s morality has declined tremendously. People lack good intentions, and their hearts have become bad. However, they don’t realize it. They have no way to change it, and can only go with the flow. Falun Dafa practitioners are a clean stream in society. We use the compassion we cultivate in the Fa to inspire the goodness in people’s hearts, and we validate Dafa this way.
I was doing remodeling work with a friend. He went to a home to do some work. When he came back, he said it was very scary as the owner had a shaved head and was sharpening his knife all day long. I went there the next day and asked the owner, “What’s wrong with you, sharpening knives at home all day? My friend is too scared to come to work.”
“I am not sharpening my knife for him,” he replied. “Our ship needs to be washed at the year's end every year. We didn’t do it this time. The company’s accountant came and scolded us. I threatened to beat him to death. Then, we had a fight. He got mad and said he would deduct my salary for this year. I will kill his whole family if he dares to deduct my salary.”
I thought that it was no accident that I ran into this. I told him the Fa principles that Master Li (Dafa’s founder) taught us, saying, “You may have owed the accountant in your previous life, and you must pay him back in this lifetime. There is also the issue of karma transformation. If he gains something from you now, you may get more returns in the future.”
He asked, “How come Falun Dafa teaches you this? It’s similar to what Jesus said. My grandma let me read the Bible when I was eight years old. Jesus also wants people to be good.”
“Dafa changes a person’s fundamental nature,” I replied. “Let me explain. If you kill the accountant, your life will be gone too. Your wife will remarry, and your children will be without a father. If you kill him, what will happen to his children and wife? Furthermore, is your life only worth 30 or 40,000 yuan? It’s not worth it. You have too much anger in you. You will be fine if you get rid of your anger.”
He told me he wouldn’t kill him if he gave him the money. I continued, “Let me tell you, people are most afraid of kindness. The kinder one is, the better one can subdue the evil.”
He asked, “How do you subdue the evil?”
I continued, “You just tell him that you had too much to drink that day and apologize to him. You say you know you were wrong and will correct yourself. Tell him that you have two kids; one goes to elementary school, the other is in high school. Your wife is ill, and you need to give money to your parents. Just be as nice as you can to him.”
On the New Year festival, he came to my house with two bottles of wine to thank me. He said he got the money, totaling 65,000 yuan. It was 10,000 yuan short. He left that shipyard and went to another one, with a yearly salary of 80,000 yuan, plus 20,000 yuan in bonuses. He was very happy. I asked, “Are you being rewarded for being kind to others?”
“Sure! he replied. “That’s why I am here to thank you,” I told him the facts about Falun Dafa and he quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
Human nature is kind. We guide people to follow Dafa to be good and to accept Dafa’s principles. This is our compassion and salvation for them, and also the blessing of Dafa to people.
