I began practicing Falun Dafa three and a half years ago. I’m from a remote mountain village in China. Due to my large family and our limited resources, my childhood was marked by poverty and hard work. Even though I was only 14, I had various responsibilities, including earning money to ease our financial burden. Because my situation was so difficult I didn’t understand the purpose of life.
I moved to Australia ten years ago. I was fortunate to hear about Falun Dafa through news reports in April 2020. I learned about the power of the nine special words to stay safe during the pandemic (Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good). I started searching for books related to Falun Dafa, and I found Zhuan Falun. When I lived in China, I knew nothing about Falun Dafa or the significance of the nine words, even though I’d seen the words “Falun Dafa” on truth-clarification materials.
During the early stages of the COVID pandemic, the Australian government implemented lockdowns and urged people to stay home. This gave me an opportunity to read Zhuan Falun, although I initially struggled to understand the many profound concepts. But as I continued reading I was amazed.
I came to understand that human life comes from the universe, and the fundamental reason we are human is to return to our origin. I also understood the importance of following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. I also learned that human notions are often reversed, and that we should do good rather than harm. I felt incredibly moved. I thought, “This is what I’ve been searching for!” Zhuan Falun resolved my long-standing doubts and gave me a profound understanding of why we are in this world. I wanted to cultivate.
Through diligent study and practice, I continued to gain deeper insights. I realized that Master came to save us, purify our bodies, eliminate our karma, and bestow upon us many precious gifts. Master constantly protects us. I felt extremely fortunate to have found such a remarkable practice. I was overwhelmed with gratitude, and could hardly express my appreciation. I could only thank Master and resolve to cultivate diligently, cherish this gift, and never forget Master’s salvation.
I began learning the five Falun Dafa exercises a week later. I was happy and felt fulfilled. I had found my Master, and I was overjoyed. I excitedly told my family and friends that I had started practicing Falun Dafa. I explained that Falun Dafa was not what they heard, but a practice that teaches people to be good. I told them that Zhuan Falun is an excellent book, and a guide for cultivation.
Master Always Watches Over Us
Falun Dafa answered all the questions I had, and opened my heart.
I wanted to become a genuine cultivator following the principles outlined by Master in his teachings. My body soon underwent significant changes. I felt light and comfortable, and I didn’t feel tired, no matter what I did. Even my complexion changed. I was happy all the time, as if I’d become a different person, and even when I eliminated karma I was still happy.
I noticed one day that a hard lump on my body, which had been there for over a decade, disappeared. It was the size of three peanuts and hadn’t bothered me much, so I ignored it. I never went to the hospital to get it checked. However, one day while showering, I suddenly realized it was gone. I thought this was truly miraculous.
When my daughter drove me home from a friend’s house I fell asleep as soon as I got in the car. I felt unwell, cold, and had a high fever. When we got home, I asked her to park the car in the sun so I could sleep in the warm sunlight until the sun went down. I slept for three consecutive days without eating or drinking, but I felt clear-headed. I knew it was a good thing. The afternoon of the third day, I ate half a bowl of porridge, and by the morning of the fourth day, I had completely recovered.
I offered to drive a friend home one night after I started practicing. However, on my way home, as I took an exit off the freeway, my brakes suddenly failed. I couldn’t stop the car no matter how hard I pressed the brakes. The car kept going forward until it stopped on a gravel road near a roundabout. My first thought was that it’s lucky there were no cars on the road otherwise I would have crashed. I wasn’t afraid because I understood what happened. I remembered what Master said in Zhuan Falun, and perhaps I owed a debt to someone and had to repay it.
I understood that Master was always watching over me. Whenever there was an unexpected incident I always got through it safely with Master’s protection. Whenever I hear the word “Master” my heart is full of gratitude. Thank you Master!
Cooperating With Other Practitioners
I lived on the Sunshine Coast, but there were no other practitioners there. In May 2022, I watched Shen Yun at a theater on the Gold Coast and met local practitioners. I’m deeply grateful for all the help and encouragement they gave me. In September 2022, I moved to Brisbane and began participating in projects to help Master save people. My heart is filled with immense joy and a feeling of honor.
I sometimes weep when I study the Fa. I deeply sense the tremendous effort Master made for us. My understanding of the Fa principles and the importance of Fa study has become increasingly clear, my righteous thoughts have strengthened, and Dafa is extremely precious to me. Cultivation is serious, and I must not deviate from my path. I must make the best use of my time to study the Fa and save people.
The first time I distributed the Epoch Times, Master’s article, “How Humankind Came To Be” was published. When I received the newspapers from local practitioners, I felt greatly honored. While I distributed the newspapers, I felt both happy and anxious. I was anxious because I had never done it before. However, I reminded myself that I was a Dafa disciple, and I wanted to help save people as soon as possible. What a precious opportunity this was! With Master guiding me, what should I fear?
I got rid of my fear, smiled happily, and distributed newspapers in crowded places. Whenever I saw a Chinese person, I asked, “Do you speak Chinese?” I visited Chinese-owned shops, Chinese restaurants, and small grocery stores, and greeted them saying, “Hello, we’re giving out copies of the Epoch Times.”
I also started giving out “Ganjing World” cards. The Ganjing World videos are available in various languages, and people can see Master’s article, “How Humankind Came To Be.” I hope people read Master’s new article and understand the truth.
I also helped with mailbox deliveries. Every time I posted materials in a mailbox, I silently said, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good, and I wish you good fortune.” When I met people on the street, I offered them a flyer. It was very hot one day and a family noticed that my cheeks were red. They kindly brought me some ice water and even refilled my water bottle. I knew this was Master encouraging me, and I was deeply moved. Thank you, Master.
Every time I went out to collect signatures on a petition to disintegrate the CCP, I could get between 110 and 190 signatures. Some people proactively signed the petition, and others passed it on to others after they signed. Even though I’m a stranger, they are friendly. Some offered me fruit, and others gave me cake. Some even wanted to take photos with me, asked me to take care, and wished me good luck. Their warmth touched me deeply, and I realized that everything was due to Master’s protection.
One Sunday two weeks ago, I planned to go to a weekend market to collect signatures. I invited another practitioner to join me, but when she declined, I turned my car around and thought of returning home to study the Fa. I had an indescribable feeling, as it was such a beautiful day, but I was thinking about studying the Fa at home instead of saving people. So I changed my thinking, and instead of heading home, I immediately drove to the weekend market to collect signatures.
I collected signatures there by myself until the market ended at 2:00 p.m. Not far from the market was a swimming pool. It was a hot day so the area was crowded, so I continued collecting signatures. I came across five people who initially were resistant when I mentioned the CCP, and said they didn’t want the materials. The second time I talked to them, they were still unwilling to accept them. The third time I talked to them, they all accepted the materials and signed the petition. I also met some Chinese tourists who understood. I believe people are waiting to be saved.
One Saturday, three of us decided to go to the beach and do the exercises. The weather started off fine, but the weather changed as we were doing the second exercise. Dark clouds appeared, and the wind began blowing. We usually read the Fa after doing the exercises, but the wind was cold, and there was no sheltered area, so we decided to go to my car to study. We read for a while, and then I thought, “We are going to spend more than two hours studying the Fa here, and parking is limited, so tourists may have trouble finding a parking spot. This is not what a cultivator should do.” We drove to a quiet spot, parked the car, and continued our Fa study there.
After studying the Fa, we began collecting signatures. That day was full of amazing stories. I realized that as long as we have righteous thoughts for saving people and have the wish to save people, we will be walking the divine path arranged by Master.
I deeply feel that taking part in Dafa projects to assist Master in saving people is the most sacred and greatest honor. When I go out to clarify the truth, I usually don’t feel thirsty, hungry, or tired. What’s most joyous is to be able to study the Fa well and save people. I’m deeply grateful for Master’s arrangements.
In my future cultivation, I hope to do the three things well. I want to truly have faith in Master and the Fa, attain selflessness and enlightenment, and become a genuine disciple who doesn’t let Master down.
