(Minghui.org) I am 72 years old and started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. With the compassionate care of our great Master, I have overcome all kinds of tribulations on my cultivation journey.
When I buy groceries, the sellers usually don’t charge me much, but I always pay them more. I understand how difficult it is for them to operate a small business and earn only small profits. I told the vendors that I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, and our Master tells us to be good people. Practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and consider others before ourselves in everything we do. How could you make a profit if you charge me less? They were very happy to hear this.
Since I had a good rapport with the vendors, I was able to clarify the facts to them quite easily. I told them about how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has killed over 80 million Chinese people since it took power during its various political campaigns, such as the Cultural Revolution and the Tiananmen Square massacre. “For over 20 years, they have brutally persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners who follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They harvest practitioners’ vital organs and sell them for huge profits. People must quickly quit the CCP before heaven destroys it.” I also told them about the “Hidden Character Stone” in Pingtang County, Guizhou Province. I also make sure they understand that quitting the CCP will bring them a bright future. Things usually go well.
My heart was touched by a recent incident. When I went to the market to buy vegetables, the seller was a middle-aged woman. I gave her 30 yuan for the goods, and then started chatting with her. She agreed very much with what I said, and quit the Young Pioneers [one of the CCP youth organizations] she had joined. When I was about to leave with my vegetables, she stopped me and asked for the payment. I had already paid her, but I didn’t want to have a dispute with her or let it affect her thoughts about me as a practitioner, so I gave her 30 yuan again. When I got home and looked at the vegetables I bought for 60 yuan, I didn’t feel good.
I remembered what Master said:
“It is hard in that you knowingly lose your vested interests among everyday people. Amidst your critical self-interests, are you moved? Amidst interpersonal mind games, are you moved?” (Lecture Eight, Zhuan Falun)
My mind suddenly enlightened. Master’s Fa told me that I should quickly let go of this attachment to self-interest and become a true practitioner of Master.
I often go to a large supermarket to clarify the truth to the salespeople there and help them quit the CCP. I offer them USB flash drives, the Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party, and Dafa amulets. They are usually willing to take them. However, a young girl selling clothes didn’t want to listen to me, and even said some unpleasant things. When I spoke with her again, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the old forces’ factors controlling her in other dimensions, and asked for Master’s help. I chatted with her first, asking how the sales were going and whether she was tired from standing all the time. I treated her as I do my own children. She felt my sincerity and kindness, and her attitude changed.
I told her that I just wanted her to understand the facts and be saved by Falun Dafa, as she is a kind-hearted girl. The CCP is atheist and does not believe in gods and Buddhas. When God destroys it, all its member will suffer the same fate. I told her to quit the Party to stay safe and receive blessings, and that 400 million people have quit the CCP and chosen a bright future for themselves. “Falun Dafa has spread to more than 100 countries worldwide. My Master has been given over 3,000 awards, and the main book of Falun Dafa, Zhuan Falun, has been translated into more than 40 languages.” After hearing this, she said, “Auntie, Falun Dafa is so good. Please help me quit the CCP.” I asked her to always recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” The young girl happily agreed.
Another time, I explained the truth about Dafa to a saleswoman in her thirties, and gave her a truth-clarification booklet. Then I saw her holding the booklet, shaking it under a nearby camera several times. The young girl selling clothes came over, dragged me to a place with no cameras, and told me quietly that the government sent more than a 1,000 people to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners who talk to people in supermarkets. She told me to be careful. I thanked her for warning me, but my fear surfaced. I was worried of being seen on camera with the materials. I didn’t go to this supermarket again for several days.
Some practitioners told me not to carry truth-clarifying materials when I go out to talk to people about Dafa. I understood what they meant, as that even if someone reported them, they would find nothing incriminating.
Just when I was feeling unstable, Master's words came to my mind:
“The Fa can break all attachments; the Fa can destroy all evil; the Fa can shatter all lies; and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts.” (“Drive Out Interference,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)
I carefully read Master’s lectures, so my heart became calmer, and my fear became less.
As usual, I carried all kinds of truth-clarification materials with me, and searched for predestined people in this big supermarket.
