(Minghui.org) Last December the pandemic intensified in our small city in southern China. All the shops were closed except for the pharmacies. The streets were nearly empty. According to a friend who works in the local government, at the height of the COVID pandemic, only 1-2 staff were on duty in each department. It was the same in other parts of China and the situation was worse in most major cities. A friend who is a doctor said that at least 80 percent of the population had the virus.
My friends and relatives who practice Falun Dafa as well as those who don’t, remained virus-free. Most of them understood the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa, showed support for the practice as well as practitioners, or spoke up for Falun Dafa. Most of them read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and withdrew from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and its youth organizations.
Wholesaler and Family Stays Safe
My friend Li Zheng (pseudonym) owns a wholesale business and sells school shoes. He and his family know Falun Dafa is good and quit the CCP. He loathes the CCP and often tells his friends how bad the regime is. He also supported practitioners on many occasions.
The year before, my mother was arrested for handing out information about Falun Dafa. Li Zheng was angry when he heard of her arrest. He praised my mother for her courage in exposing the CCP’s evil and called her a hero. He helped drive her lawyer to court meetings. The day of the trial, he took my relatives to the hearing. Li Zheng was not able attend the trial as the court only allowed two relatives to sit in. He insisted on sitting outside to encourage us.
Li Zheng was overjoyed when Jiang Zemin (the former CCP head who ordered the persecution of Falun Dafa) died last year. The school forced students to grieve his death but Li Zheng told his daughter not to go to school that day as a form of silent protest.
During the pandemic, Li Zheng opened his shop every day and delivered orders himself. He was blessed for his sense of justice and everyone in his family remained safe.
Wife of Former Deputy Mayor Did Not Catch the Virus
The deputy mayor in my city came from a family of successful businessmen. When the CCP came to power, all his family’s property was confiscated. He was persecuted during the regime’s political campaigns and “re-educated.” His wife Min (pseudonym) came from a family of renowned doctors. Her father and uncle were famous physicians. Min’s uncle was persecuted to death by the CCP and her family was also targeted and persecuted during the Party’s political campaigns.
Later on he became the deputy mayor in the city due to his outstanding talents. He and Min sympathized with the suffering I endured for refusing to give up practicing Falun Dafa. Many times, he used his position to help me. After he retired, he often came to our shop.
After he passed away, my wife and I visited Min frequently. Min read the Nine Commentaries and Falun Dafa books. She withdrew her Party membership. Many elderly people passed away during the pandemic but Min was fine.
Former Arts Association Chairman Stays Safe During COVID
Mr. Huang (pseudonym) used to be the chairman of the local arts association. His grandfather was persecuted to death by the CCP. Mr. Huang later became a famous artist. Twelve years ago, I was the association’s vice secretary and gained his trust because I handled things fairly and I worked hard. Huang knew I was persecuted for my belief. When people criticized me for not listening to the regime, he said I was a responsible person and that a good worker was hard to come by.
The vice chairman suggested adding a rule to the association’s charter forbidding Falun Dafa practitioners from becoming members. Mr. Huang replied wisely, “Let’s consult the Head Association’s charter,” and passed the matter to me to handle. There is no such an item in the Head Association’s charter, of course I would not add that unreasonable rule to the charter.
He chose not to get involved in the persecution of Dafa and trusted as well as supported Falun Dafa practitioners. He read the Nine Commentaries and knew Falun Dafa is good. During the pandemic, he and his family avoided catching the virus.
Entrepreneur Stays Safe From COVID
Uncle Virtuous (alias) is a businessman who is traditional and upright. His peers respect him. When he was young, uncle Virtuous worked at a state-owned company. During a political campaign, his superiors asked him to persecute his seniors and in return he would be promoted. He replied: “These are my teachers who taught me many skills, how can I go against my conscience and do such a thing?” He refused to take part in the persecution.
When he learned that my mother was persecuted for practicing Falun Dafa, he came to my shop many times and asked about me and my mother. I clarified the truth to him from different angles. He was angered by the devious ways of the CCP and how it suppresses good people.
Because he chose to stand on the side of justice, Uncle Virtuous stayed safe during the pandemic.
Cousin and Whole Family Receive Blessings
My cousin saw how my mother gained a new lease on life by practicing Dafa and realized how corrupt the CCP is through frequent dealings with the police. When I was harassed for refusing to give up practicing, my cousin used his connections to help me resolve things. When my mother was arrested, he also spared no effort in rescuing her. He attended my mother’s trial and listened as the lawyer defended her. He told his friends who are police officers what he heard.
The next year, my cousin’s wife gave birth to a boy. In the village, this was viewed as a blessing. My cousin already had two girls. During this wave of pandemic, my cousin and his family were safe. His grandson had COVID-like symptoms but they quickly went away.
Aunt Kept Dafa Books Safe, in Return Her Family of Five Did Not Catch the Virus
When the persecution of Falun Dafa first began, my relative left a box of Dafa books at my aunt’s place. She kept it for many years. At the height of the persecution, some friends and relatives distanced themselves from practitioners. However, my aunt was not afraid to protect Dafa books. Many years ago, her family of five quit the CCP.
Her kind deeds brought blessings for the whole family. I went to visit her during Chinese New Year. She moved into a new house. My aunt and uncle as well as my cousins were safe during this latest wave of COVID. My cousin who works in Shanghai lives with a coworker. Her coworker caught the virus and her symptoms were severe. Yet my cousin was fine.
Master said in the article “Stay Rational” published on March 19, 2020,
“Truth be told, pandemics only come when people’s morals and values have turned bad and they have come to have a massive amount of karma. So if a pandemic is divinely ordained, what can be done to stop it? It would be divine will, after all.”
Elderly people in China used to say pandemics are heaven’s way of punishing people. Those whose moral values have deteriorated and don’t meet the standard required of human beings are eliminated. Master pointed out,
“But a pandemic like the current Chinese Communist Virus (or “Wuhan Virus”) comes with a purpose behind it, and it has targets. It is here to weed out members of the Party and those who have sided with it.” (“Stay Rational”)
People know that the Chinese race once created a glorious culture and China was looked up to as a land of propriety and righteousness. However after the CCP usurped power, it killed millions of Chinese people, destroyed its ancient culture and damaged the environment. Moral values degenerated and the once glorious Chinese civilization was destroyed.
Master first publicly taught Falun Dafa in China in May 1992. Based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, the practice quickly spread by word of mouth and within a few years, one hundred million people took up the practice. It changed people’s hearts for the good and improved moral values in society bringing new hope to China as well as the whole world.
Yet this highly virtuous way has been suppressed since July 1999, once again destroying the moral foundation established in Chinese society!
In the same article, Master pointed out a way to avert danger during the pandemic:
“Then what should people do? People should distance themselves from the CCP and stop siding with the Party. Behind it is the red Devil, while outwardly it looks and acts like a thug who stops at no evil. So now that the divine is starting to eradicate it, all who still stand by it shall perish.” (“Stay Rational”)
As I understand it, only those who understand the facts about Falun Dafa, stay away from the evil Party, respect heaven and gods, and maintain good moral values can avert the pandemic and receive blessings from heaven.
