1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Ying Sentenced to Six Years in Prison
Ms. Xu Ying, a teacher from Hailin City, was sentenced to six years in prison and fined 3,000 yuan by the Hailin City Court on November 30, 2022. She has appealed.
2. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pan Jing Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Ms. Pan Jing was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by the Zhen’an District Court. She appealed. The Dandong City Intermediate Court affirmed the lower court’s decision.
3. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Yanrong Imprisoned
Ms. Zhao Yanrong was taken to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison from the Panjin City Detention Center on February 20, 2023.
4. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Xingchao’s Trial Rescheduled
Ms. Zhang Xingchao of the Jiangbei District went to a post office and mailed a letter about the persecution of Falun Gong in 2022. Big data surveillance cameras tracked her down. She was under residential surveillance for six months. Ms. Zhang was notified on February 27, 2023 that her trial had been rescheduled from March 1 to March 7.
5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Wenwen Detained
Ms. Sun Wenwen was charged by the Longfeng Police Station and the Dongzhou District Procuratorate for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong . She left home to avoid the persecution after she received the Dongzhou Court trial notification on September 15, 2022. She was later arrested and is being held in the Nangou Detention Center.
6. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Practitioners Arrested and Detained
Li Guoyuan (gender unknown) and several other practitioners were arrested at Li’s home by ten officers from the Xinkaipu Police Station and other police stations some time after 4:00 p.m. on February 22, 2023. Among the arrested, two practitioners had the family name Li, one’s family name was Chen, and one’s family name was Wang.
Ms. Chen Zhulong of Xinkaipu was arrested on February 22, 2023. The police took her to her home around 5:00 p.m., ransacked the place, and confiscated her personal property. Afterwards she was sent to a detention center for two weeks.
7. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Jian Faces a Virtual Court Trial
Mr. Wang Jian will be tried in a virtual hearing by the Yilan Court at 9:00 a.m. on March 6, 2023.
8. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Qing Feng Arrested
Mr. Qing Feng was arrested at home by officer Li Bin and others from the Domestic Security Division on February 14, 2023. He was released that evening.
9. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Shufen Arrested
Ms. Gao Shufen was arrested at home by police officers led by Jianchang County Domestic Security Division director Zhao Kun and deputy director Wang Chao on March 2, 2023.
10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Fu Lanfen, in her 70s, and Ms. Wang Yafen of the Jiutai District were arrested by officers from the Donghu Police Station on February 17, 2023. They have been detained since then.
Ms. Wang Chunhua was arrested by officers from the Jiansheguangchang Police Station on February 24, 2023, after someone photographed her near the Hongqijie Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and reported her to police. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Lu Yongzhen of Liaoyuan City was sent to the Weizigou Detention Center on February 20, 2023.
11. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Xiaoyong Arrested
Mr. Li Xiaoyong, around 40, of Tianxing Village, Shaoguo Town, was arrested at home by officers from the Nong’an County Domestic Security Division and the Shaoguo Town Police Station on March 3, 2023. They kicked him down and and beat him. They handcuffed his arms behind his back and carried him to a police car. They took away Mr. Li’ belongings and a thousand yuan in cash.
12. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Anzhen Arrested
Ms. Wang Anzhen of the Tongnan District was arrested on October 4, 2022. Officers seized Falun Gong flyers and more than 100 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong messages printed on them. They took her to the Zhengxing Street Police Station, made her sit in a metal chair, and interrogated her for about four hours. She did not comply and refused to sign any papers. Her granddaughter took her home after 8:00 p.m.
13. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Wang Qinghua’s Home Ransacked
Wang Qinghua’s home was ransacked by the director and officers from the Xinji Police Station in Changli County on the evening of March 2, 2023.
14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Song Shijun Arrested
Mr. Song Shijun of Bin County was arrested by five officers on the afternoon of February 2, 2023. They took him to the Chang’an Police Station, interrogated him, and tried to force him to sign and press his fingerprints on documents.
15. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lou Amei’s Pension Case to Be Retried
Ms. Lou Amei was imprisoned for three years for suing former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin. When her prison term was over in 2018, she found that her pension was withheld by the government. She appealed in vain to many government agencies and finally filed a complaint to the court. After the Shenyang Railway Transportation Court dismissed her case on December 27, 2021, she appealed to the Shenyang Railway Transportation Intermediate Court. The intermediate court reversed the trial court judge’s decision on November 15, 2022. The trial court scheduled a new hearing for March 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.
16. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Xiuying Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
Ms. Wei Xiuying of Jincheng Town was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan by the Linghai City Court on February 24, 2023.
17. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Outstanding Teacher Ms. Liu Yumin Faces Second Trial
Ms. Liu Yumin is an outstanding teacher in Laishui County. The Zhuozhou Court scheduled a second trial against her on March 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
18. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ding Yanqing and Ms. Ding Yanxia Detained
Ms. Ding Yanqing and Ms. Ding Yanxia were arrested by officers from the Liaohe Police Station on March 2, 2023. They were sent to the Panjin City Detention Center for 15 days’ detention that night.
