(Minghui.org) March 24th is the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims. The day honors the memory of victims of gross and systematic human rights violations and also promotes the importance of the right to truth and justice.
In honor of this important day, Falun Dafa practitioners in France held activities at the Esplanade de La Défense and the Third Arrondissement in Paris. They demonstrated the Dafa exercises and told people how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been brutally persecuting Falun Dafa for nearly 24 years. They also collected signatures on a petition to help end the persecution.
The soothing exercise music attracted many locals and tourists. Many said that they appreciated practitioners for telling people about the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Philippe Nicolas is a sailor from Strasbourg, France. He said that Falun Dafa is good and benefits people. He commented that the older Falun Dafa practitioners looked very healthy. “It is a pity that this practice is forbidden in China. I think that [Falun Dafa’s principles] Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good principles,” he said, and encouraged practitioners to persist in exposing the persecution.
Many people sign the petition to help end the persecution.
Anaïs said, “There must be a meaningful reason that practitioners are peacefully gathered here. This is very important. This activity has attracted the attention of many people. When we read the information about the forced live organ harvesting [in China] we know that the situation is quite serious.”
Caroline, who owns a flower shop, chatted with a practitioner for a long time. She thinks that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are very good. She said that people should have a spiritual belief and that cultivators know the way of life and why human exists.
Basile is a student in business school. He was shocked after learning how Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted, even having their organs removed while they are alive. “This is not right. We need to let everyone know about forced live organ harvesting. This is very important.”
Eliska Mabel from Czechoslovakia said, “Communism has dominated the Czech Republic for over 30 years. More people have died under communist rule in Czechoslovakia than died in World War II. Communism has killed more people than the Nazis.” She also mentioned that some countries forbid communist party members.
Aliénor de Cellès, a craftsperson and artist, said she follows the current geopolitics. She said, “We need peace and everyone should be able to flourish. However, in a society where individuals are constantly being monitored, it is impossible.” Aliénor said that she felt sad when she heard about the persecution.
She praised practitioners for their bravery and encouraged them to persist. “We will be by your side!” she affirmed.
Christiane is 70 years old and retired. She signed the petition and said that the CCP has to stop persecuting Falun Dafa immediately.
Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years, though due to the difficulty in getting information out of China, the actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
