(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Qu Xing Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison

6. [Changling County, Jilin Province] Ms. Ai Mingxia Arrested and Detained
7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Naiming Arrested
8. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ma Arrested and Detained
9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Ji Guangkui Arrested
10. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Cuizhen Placed on Bail Pending Trial
1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Qu Xing Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison
Mr. Qi Xing was sentenced to eight years in prison by the Gaoxin District Court. He appealed to the Chengdu City Intermediate Court. The original sentence was upheld in the intermediate court on March 30, 2023.
2. [Guangzong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yin Shuzhen Taken to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Yin Shuzhen from Guangzong County was arrested by officers from the Fengma Township Police Station and taken to the Xingtai Brainwashing Center on April 14, 2023, for talking to people about Falun Gong.
3. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Heqing and Ms. Chen Cuizhu Face Trial
Ms. Huang Heqing and Ms. Chen Cuizhu were arrested when they read Falun Gong books by officers in Chikan District on the morning of April 24, 2023. They were sent to the Zhanjiang Detention Center. They will be tried in the Chikan District Court on the morning of April 24, 2023.
4. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Wenlan and Ms. Chou Arrested and Detained
Ms. Xu Wenlan from Tangwang Town of Licheng District, 60, and Ms. Chou, were followed by police when they talked to people about Falun Gong and were arrested on February 25, 2023. Ms. Chou was detained for five days. Ms. Xu has been held in the Zhonggong Detention Center since then.
5. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. You Quanfang Arrested
Ms. You Quanfang from Pengzhou City visited her daughter in Lijiang City. She was recently arrested by officers in Lijiang City.
6. [Changling County, Jilin Province] Ms. Ai Mingxia Arrested and Detained
Ms. Ai Mingxia from Jubao Town, 57, was arrested at home on April 19, 2023, and was taken to the Songyuan City Detention Center on April 20, 2023. Her husband is paralyzed and bedridden. Now he is alone at home with no one to take care of him.
7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Naiming Arrested
Plainclothes officers pretended to be repairmen called by the real estate office and tricked Mr. Xu Naming into opening the door for them on the morning of March 5, 2023. Three more officers were called in and they ransacked the home. They confiscated two Zhuan Falun, copies of the new article published by Falun Gong’s founder, one lecture CD, several Minghui Weekly magazines, over 10 truth-clarifying materials, two desktop calendars, one wall calendar, and several CDs containing Shen Yun songs.
Mr. Xu was taken to the Nancun Police Station in Worker’s Village, Tianqiao District. They showed him the surveillance camera footage and asked whether he distributed information about Falun Gong in September 2022. They asked when Mr. Xu started to practice Falun Gong and where he got the materials. Mr. Xu refused to answer any questions. He was released that evening.
8. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ma Arrested and Detained
Ms. Ma, around 60, was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested. She was sent to the Xinyu City Detention Center.
9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Ji Guangkui Arrested
Mr. Ji Guangkui, 67, was arrested when he was taking his granddaughter to school on the afternoon of April 18, 2023. His home was ransacked.
10. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Cuizhen Placed on Bail Pending Trial
Ms. Wang Cuizhen from Yinhang Sub-district, Yangpu District, was placed on bail pending trial.
