(Minghui.org) When participating in various projects to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and help to awaken sentient beings, I have a strong sense of mission when doing some of them, and feel that it is related to my vow. When asked by fellow practitioners to do another type of project, I take it as a hint from Master Li (Dafa’s founder) and something He arranged for my cultivation path. Thus, most of the time, I will not refuse and will actively cooperate and participate. In the past, most of the projects I was involved in were done away from home. I once thought: If there was a project that I could do at home after getting off work, it would help me be more stable in studying the Fa and sending righteous thoughts.
I am grateful to Master for fulfilling my wish. At the end of the Fa-rectification period and the transition to the Fa-rectification of the human world, when it is so urgent to save sentient beings, I was able to join the global rescue platform to clarify the truth to those who are directly involved in the persecution, including those who work in law enforcement, the Procuratorate, justice, and government agencies. I think Master probably saw that I still had so many human attachments and notions that I must improve quickly in the short time left. Master has made the best arrangement for me.
In just over a year of talking with people on the platform, I have felt the great importance of a solid cultivation state, doing Fa study, sending righteous thoughts, and doing the exercises. I came to understand that we can only do the project well if we cultivate ourselves well.
I. Eliminating Attachments In Clarifying the Truth and Saving People
When I first started making phone calls, the first attachment I needed to overcome was ease and comfort. After a busy day at my ordinary job, I was sometimes tired and wanted to take a break or eat some tasty food to relieve my stress. But the attachment was soon dissolved within the overall cultivation environment by working on the rescue platform. Through the selfless sharing of other practitioners, I first learned to tell people the basic truth and gradually began to increase the depth and range of what I said based on the latest situation. Now, I follow the news in China and globally by reading news articles on the Minghui website and other media. I feel that the process of Fa-rectification has accelerated, and I am being pushed forward and upward in my cultivation.
The process of clarifying the truth and saving people is a process of cultivating one’s mind and eliminating attachments. Calling the people working in these agencies is not easy because the pickup rate is relatively low. Even when a call is answered, it often gets dropped after a few seconds. I often felt my xinxing was tested while making the phone calls, but they have unknowingly helped eliminate some of my attachments. The most obvious one was my impatience.
In recent years, due to my busy schedule at work and Dafa projects, I did not study the Fa or send righteous thoughts often enough. I was also unable to do a good job of looking inward and solidly cultivating. As a result, the Old Forces often interfered with me, and I suffered from headaches and swollen eyes. I knew where my issues were but was not determined to correct them. After joining the phone team, I have a stable environment for studying the Fa, doing the exercises, sending righteous thoughts, sharing with fellow practitioners, and clarifying the truth. I often feel the granite-like attachments slowly disintegrating, and specifically, my impatience gradually went away. I have also found many other attachments, such as a strong ego, the desire for fame, competitiveness, jealousy, a show-off mentality, being too attached to outcomes, and others.
Cultivation is to constantly get rid of attachments, but I was unable to do that for so many years due to not studying the Fa well. Even though I have done many things to clarify the truth, I wasn’t sure that I was truly able to save people. I felt regretful but fortunately, Fa-rectification is not over yet, so I want to catch up in cultivation as much as possible.
II. Saving People with Kindness and a Pure Heart
Under the totalitarian system of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), people are constantly watched and monitored. This has greatly interfered with sentient beings finding out the truth about Falun Dafa. I remember that many years ago, I was talking with people about Falun Dafa at the Palace Museum, and I saw a small group of tourists from China. They were all wearing suits and ties, and they looked like government officials. I took a few copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and went to talk with them. They were taking pictures and completely ignoring me. However, they didn’t leave, and I knew that they were in fact listening, so I kept talking. Then, one of them signaled that I should talk to the top official among them. I walked over to him and handed him a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He hesitated a little but took the book, and then the rest of them all put their hands out to ask for a copy. This scene left a deep impression on me.
I have come to understand that whether I am clarifying the truth at tourist sites or on the phone, sometimes people refuse to answer or respond due to fear or feeling the need to protect themselves. But in fact, their knowing sides are all eagerly waiting to hear the facts. Most of the people from the agencies that we call are directly or indirectly involved in the persecution of Dafa disciples. They are the most pitiful people. Most have received higher education and are sentient beings from high levels. Therefore, as long as a call is connected, regardless of whether the other side says anything or not, I always talk about Falun Dafa and the persecution with my heart, and at the same time send strong righteous thoughts to disintegrate the evil factors behind the people. I want to arouse their consciences with compassion and save them by telling them the facts.
At the end of 2022, the pandemic broke out in China, and a large number of people died in a short period of time. In this time of crisis, the rescue platform made intensive calls to people involved in several special cases in Beijing, Liaoning Province, and Sichuan Province. I knew time was running out, and I really felt the urgency to save people.
In November, I made a call to a person involved in a case in Beijing. After the call was connected, the person who answered didn’t say anything. I was not sure whether someone picked up or it was an answering machine. But, as usual, I first introduced myself, explained how to listen to the Sound of Hope radio station to learn the true information, and provided the website for withdrawing from the CCP and see the current number of people who had withdrawn. I also explained that the CCP and China are not the same thing, explained the evil nature of the CCP, and so on. After about three minutes, a man spoke, and we began to chat. I was able to talk with him and unravel the doubts he had. The call lasted 21 minutes and 52 seconds.
On another night, a total of nine calls were successfully connected with people in Beijing. Eight of them lasted between 10 and 23 minutes. I mainly focused on the truth about Dafa, the fabricated lies that occurred during the persecution, the evil nature of the Communist Party, the channels to go to for facts, and a URL for withdrawing from the CCP to stay safe.
Once, I called a police officer at a police station. The first four attempts were not answered. The fifth one was connected, but no one said anything. I went on with my usual routine. After about four minutes, he spoke and asked me where I was. From the way he talked, I could tell he was a young police officer with some good qualities, and I felt that he was eager to know the truth. I told him I was in Taiwan and introduced myself again. He said that he had written down the website and would go there and learn more facts. We talked for seven minutes. I was very happy for him. I believed that he would be saved once he found the truth and he would start a brand new chapter in his life.
In January 2023, Master published the new lecture “How Humankind Came To Be.” It was not only for Dafa disciples. It was the first time that Master wrote a lecture for all everyday people in the world. It reveals many heavenly secrets, and our compassionate Master is giving another opportunity for everyday people to be saved. At that time, we made phone calls to Liaoning and Sichuan. In addition to talking about the basic truth, I also tried to have people listen to the entire broadcast of Master’s new lecture.
Once, I called a young police officer working in a detention center in Sichuan. After he picked up, he said slanderous and threatening words. I told him that it was really bad for him to say what he was saying and he should try to understand the current situation in China and abroad to be able to protect himself. He hung up shortly after. I dialed the number again and he picked up and said, “Come to China, and I’ll lock you up.” I calmly told him, “You must understand the truth about Falun Dafa. The persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners is illegal and unconstitutional. It is an international felony. I’m truly thinking about what’s good for you. You must know the truth to stay safe.” We talked for five minutes and ten seconds, and then he hung up.
After putting down the phone, I thought about the whole process and felt that he was bluffing out of fear. I really wanted to save him and wanted him to understand the truth. I called him the next day. This time he didn’t say much. I continued to speak sincerely and in a calm tone. I said, “The reason I am calling you is that I sincerely hope you understand the truth. I am very worried about your safety. If you follow the verbal orders from people above you, and you commit crimes because you don’t know the facts, then what will you do when people are tried for these crimes? I’m truly thinking about your good. You know that the central political and legal system has recently published 12 regulations for police officers. One of them says that if a police officer causes unjust, false, or wrongful convictions, he will be held accountable for life. These new regulations are equally applicable to those involved in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners because the persecution is illegal and unconstitutional ...” He listened quietly.
I asked him if I could play a radio broadcast message from the political and legal officials who had awakened. He didn’t object. About four minutes into it, he said, “I get it now.” I then told him the basic truth about the evil nature of the Communist Party, how Dafa has spread throughout the world, the truth about the persecution, the staged Tiananmen self-immolation incident, and so on. Since we had talked for a long time, he was probably feeling a bit nervous and, he hastily asked me to end the call. I said, “You still haven’t fully understood the serious situation of the pandemic in China and abroad. I will send you a multimedia message so you can learn more about it. He agreed to accept it.
From this phone call, I realized that it’s important that we aren’t driven or moved by sentient beings, and when we are truly thinking about the welfare of others and want to save them, Master will help us and our kind thoughts can resolve the doubts in their minds.
Final Remarks
Saving people is not an easy task. The practitioners in China risk being arrested and imprisoned when they clarify the truth to people face to face. In comparison, the environment outside China I have is easier and relatively relaxed. Therefore, I should work even harder on the rescue platform, talk with more people about Falun Dafa, and help those sentient beings who are deceived and still involved in the persecution to wake up and save themselves.
We are so close to the Fa’s rectification of the human world, and our time to complete our mission is running out. We must seize the time we have left to save more people.
