(Minghui.org) I am 86 years old, a retired postal worker and have been practicing Falun Dafa since 1995. My faith in Master has never wavered in my over 20 years of cultivation. Thank you, Master, for looking after me.
I started to practice Falun Gong by attending a nine-day lecture held at a practitioner’s home. After that, I decided to do the same at my home. It attracted a lot of locals just by word of mouth. Everyone around the area was quite familiar with the sight in my house. Visitors filled the house inside and out, the floor, the beds and the corridors were always filled with people watching Master’s nine-day lecture videos. It was an unforgettable scene.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), under then-dictator Jiang Zemin, launched the persecution against Dafa in July 1999. I became a target for the local CCP authorities and they wanted to disband the Fa study gathering at my house. I told myself that would be beyond them because my home was a place for cultivation. I was only accountable to Master. I had nothing to fear with Master and Dafa on my side.
Police and local administrative members came to harass us so frequently that my husband and daughter-in-law wanted to move. I said it was not a matter of choice in terms of location but rather how we could turn that environment into one where we could cultivate. I sent forth righteous thoughts day and night to stop the perpetrators from coming to my house. If they tried to come, their cars would stop working and they would have to face retribution.
By the grace of our merciful Master, my home Fa study venue has remained safe and operational until this day.
Raising Awareness with Righteous Thoughts and Actions
It’s my mission to raise awareness of the persecution and let people be saved. I mainly go out to put up truth clarification stickers, clarify the truth about Dafa face-to-face, and use paper currency with truth-clarification messages on it. I often go out taking with me over 100 Falun Dafa brochures, get off the bus when it seems suitable, and walk around, taking advantage of any opportunity to clarify the truth.
Once I went to a neighborhood to distribute truth clarification materials because some practitioners there had recently been arrested. Most people there accepted the brochures I gave out. One person said to me, “You old lady are quite daring. A practitioner here has just been arrested, you better stop giving out brochures and leave quickly or you might be arrested, too.” I wasn't moved, I knew Master would look after me. I told him that Falun Dafa is teaching people to be good. The belief is built on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forberance and it is legal in China. I gave him a brochure, “Please read it. It’s all true.” I left safely with Master’s protection.
I was making truth-clarification material myself in November 2003. One time I took over 200 brochures with me when I went back to my hometown for a visit. I started at 5 p.m. and distributed Falun Dafa informational materials in 8 nearby villages. During that trip, as I was at the sixth village, I saw three men standing on a street so I took a turn and walked through another alley. But that turned out to be a dead end so I had to go back and take the original route.
The three men stared at me and went after me when they discovered I had Falun Dafa material. I was not worried and kept going. They came after me in a car and on a motorbike, their headlights lit up the streets and there was nowhere to hide in the empty fields on the two sides. They were 2 meters behind me and right at that moment I thought of Master and told myself it’s alright because I have Master. I then fell into a two-meter-deep ditch, the bottom of which was lined with corn and grain stalks. I sat there and asked Master to hide me from them. I then heard voices, “She was just there. How did she disappear?”
I sat in the ditch for another hour or so and only climbed out when it was quiet. I headed off the opposite way I came and wound my way through 3 villages before getting home at 11 p.m.
The next day I made a special trip to check out the ditch I fell into. There was nothing, no hole, no ditch. Master had conjured that up to protect me!
Persevering in Clarifying the Truth Makes a Long-time Informant Quit the CCP
I was a target of the 610 Office and police because I have always hosted a Fa study group at my house. They installed a surveillance camera outside my front door. My way of nullifying its effect was to tell the camera that it was ineffective against me on my way in and out of the house. After a few months, the director at my work unit told me they had spent over 1,000 yuan for nothing because the camera showed nothing. That of course was a demonstration of Master’s compassion and the mighty power of Dafa.
Since the surveillance camera did not work, they had a neighbor monitoring my movements. She watched me from in front of her house or from her windows. She asked me why I was going out every day. I did not resent her because she was a victim of the system. I felt sorry for her so I was always very nice to her. I clarified the truth to her and tried to get her to withdraw from the CCP organizations. Her answer was it took some effort to join the CCP and she could not let go of that now.
I did not give up, but kept reminding myself of Master’s Fa teachings:
“Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in SpringRighteous thoughts can save the people in this world” (“The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos,” Hong Yin II)
I persevered. I continued to give her truth-clarification materials and other publications such as the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and How the Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World. After more than 20 years, finally in June 2022, she came to my house and asked me to help her quit the CCP.
I enlightened that I could save more people if I remain my strong faith in Master and Dafa, and righteously and tirelessly spread the truth.
