(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Western Australia held a series of activities from April 22 to 24, 2023, in downtown Perth and in front of the Chinese Consulate. They commemorated the 24th anniversary of the April 25 Appeal, and told people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa.

Falun Dafa practitioners collected signatures in Perth City Centre Pedestrian Street on April 22, 2023.

On Saturday, April 22, practitioners displayed banners and display boards at Murray Street Mall in the heart of Perth, and collected signatures on a petition to call for an end to the persecution by the communist regime in China.

Many passersby admired the practitioners’ perseverance and kindness. When they heard about the persecution, some wept. Some of the comments were, “Your protests are quiet and peaceful and moving,” “Everyone should practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” Others said, “Your call may be the beginning of change.” Many people said, “People need to know the truth.”

People stopped in front of the portraits of practitioners who lost their lives due to the persecution, read the information, and took photos. Some signed the petition to support practitioners’ efforts to call for an end to the CCP’s atrocities.

In the early morning of Sunday, April 23, practitioners held a group exercise practice in the park near the Chinese Consulate.

Every Sunday morning, practitioners go here to practice the exercises. Accompanied by soothing music and welcoming the first light of dawn, this has become a beautiful local scene. Some people videotaped the exercises, and one person remarked, “This should be in the newspaper.”

On the morning of April 24, practitioners peacefully protested in front of the Chinese Consulate, calling for an end to the persecution in China.

On the evening of April 24, practitioners held a candlelight vigil near the Chinese Consulate.

Practitioners held a candlelight vigil on the path near the Chinese Consulate on the evening of April 24, to commemorate practitioners who were persecuted to death by the CCP. They displayed portraits of the victims and banners with the message, “China is not the CCP.” Many people driving by waved to them.

That evening, the streets were quiet, and practitioners stood in silent protest near the consulate. Consulate staff used a loudspeaker to play songs glorifying the CCP to disrupt their vigil. Residents passing by told practitioners that the CCP’s behavior was ridiculous and incomprehensible.

Mark Caruso, a by-passer, scoffed at the Chinese consulate’s interference with the practitioners’ peaceful protest, and expressed his support for their calm persistence despite the noisy disturbance. He joined practitioners, and held the portrait of a practitioner who was killed by the CCP. Before leaving, he expressed his encouragement and told practitioners, “Well done. Please keep up the good work!”

“Your protests are quiet and moving”

Ms. McKay said, “Everyone should practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

Sheree Mackay was moved to tears when she saw the portraits of practitioners who died in the persecution at the downtown event. “Nothing like this should happen in any country,” she said. “Reading these stories makes me cry. This persecution is terrible. These things should be in the news.

“Your protests are quiet and moving, and sometimes silence speaks louder than words. I really hope that this will be understood by more people.”

Ms. McKay added, “Everyone should practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

Organ Transplant Recipient Shocked by the CCP’s Crime of Organ Harvesting

A mother and daughter are shocked by the CCP’s crime of live organ harvesting

A mother and her daughter spoke with practitioners and learned about the CCP’s organ harvesting from living Falun Dafa practitioners for profits. They were shocked, and the mother silently wept. The daughter said she had just finished attending the 2023 World Transplant Games in Perth yesterday and was a transplant recipient who received a kidney transplant.

“I went to the World Transplant Games. We get together for sporting events and to celebrate life because our lives were renewed. Someone chose to give us organs. They were not taken from someone else.” About the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, the daughter said, “It’s terrible! It shouldn’t happen! Absolutely not! It is wrong to violate someone’s life, no matter who it is.

“We didn’t mention the issue of organ transplant crimes at the meeting, but it should have been raised! It’s a topic that people are afraid to talk about, and it’s something we need to talk about.”

Her mother kept shedding tears. She said that her daughter was lucky to get organs donated by others, and those who were forcibly harvested were mutilated and killed in this way, which made her very sad to think about.

They thanked practitioners, saying they would learn more and would do their part to help on this issue.

“Your call could be the beginning of change.”

Jonathon Peasley and his children

Jonathon Peasley and his children looked at the display boards with portraits of those who died in the persecution, and then signed the petition. He said, “There is no doubt that your call here today may be the beginning of change, a more humane world where everyone is given the respect and dignity they deserve.

“The principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is very good,” he said. “And it is absurd that Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted for their right to speak.”

Nofer said, “People need to know the truth.”

A man named Nofer signed the petition, and said that practitioners’ peaceful protest was amazing. “Well done,” he said. “Please keep up the good work.”

Nofer added, “In today’s world, people are complacent. The truth is here, but some people don’t want to know, or say it’s none of their business, it’s someone else’s. This is not right. I think people need to know the truth. When violence is involved, tolerance for violence should decrease, not increase.”
