(Minghui.org) From April 22-25, 2023, commemorative activities were held in Bucharest to mark the 24th anniversary of the April 25 Appeal in 1999.
On each of these days, practitioners from Romania, Poland, and Moldova, gathered at King Michael I Park to demonstrate the Falun Dafa exercises. This exercise site has been maintained in Bucharest for over two decades, where practitioners routinely meet.
Practitioners held an event in Charles de Gaulle Square on April 23. They distributed leaflets and demonstrated the exercises.

Practitioners held their event in Charles de Gaulle square. A marathon was taking place in the area, and the participants received their awards in nearby King Michael I Park. The practitioners’ activity was located at the entrance that connected the square and the park.
This generated a continuous flow of passersby of different nationalities to the Falun Dafa booth, who interacted with practitioners throughout the event and received information.

One lady who participated in the marathon was fascinated by practitioners as they did the exercises, and said, “They all know how to do them. Look, they’re all doing the same [thing]. None of them get confused. Extraordinary! I have to do that too. Can you help me? Where can I find you?” she asked practitioners.
The lady received a leaflet and was told that she can come on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to King Michael I Park to learn the practice at no cost.
Some firefighters passed by the booth and asked to take a picture with the practitioners doing the exercises. A practitioner then told them, along with some local police who came with them, about the practice and the persecution. “We kept listening to you. I can feel myself calming down,” said one of the firefighters. “There’s so much peace in your words, I couldn’t stop listening.”

On April 25, 2023, practitioners protested peacefully in front of the Chinese embassy in Bucharest, calling for an end to the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. In the past two decades, practitioners went here to hold similar activities on April 25.

On Monday, April 24, large groups of children and teenagers went to the park since the weather was pleasant. They picked up calendars, lotus flowers, and books. Some of them took multiple lotus flowers and books to give as gifts to their loved ones.
For more than 20 years, Falun Dafa practitioners in Bucharest have practiced the exercises in public every Saturday and Sunday, and provided free teaching in the King Michael I Park for those interested in learning. Many passers-by received leaflets and little lotus flowers.
