(Minghui.org) As a part of the 24th World Falun Dafa Day celebrations, Falun Dafa practitioners in Bangalore, India, held a release ceremony to announce that the two main books of Falun Dafa’s teachings—Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong—have been translated into the Malayalam language and officially published.
The Malayalam version of Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong
Over 35 million people around the world speak Malayalam. Most of them are from the state of Kerala, the territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry in southern India. Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong were previously translated into five official Indian languages. Malayalam is the sixth Indian language the teachings have now been translated into.
To celebrate the occasion, two influential members of the Bangalore community—Prakash Belawadi and Akhil Scaria—were invited to speak at the launch event.
Prakash Belawadi (second on right) and Akhil Scaria (second on left) spoke at the ceremony for the books’ release.
Prakash Belawadi is a well-known actor, director, television personality, and activist from Bangalore. He praised Falun Dafa for connecting people in the world today with the wisdom of tradition.
He said, “The world is moving towards artificial intelligence (AI). We have to invest in being a better person. Ancient practices like Falun Dafa are the only way forward because there is tremendous wisdom in it.”
Akhil Scaria is the chairman of Jyothi English Medium School in Bangalore. As an educator, he has seen the positive impact of Falun Dafa on young people.
“Children must lead a simple and virtuous life. Falun Dafa is a practice that guides children from darkness toward light and to progress to enlightenment.”
Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong were originally written in Chinese by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, in the 1990s. Falun Gong, which is for beginners, explains the teachings at the level of qigong. Zhuan Falun is the main book of Falun Dafa. Veteran practitioners gain an in-depth understanding of the principles of cultivation by reading the book daily.
Besides Malayalam, Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong have now been translated into five official Indian languages: Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu. Internationally, the books have been translated into over 40 languages. The Malayalam versions of both Falun Gong and Zhuan Falun can be purchased from their publisher, B. Jain Publishers in New Delhi. They are also available on Amazon.
