(Minghui.org) While taking a taxi the other day, I asked the driver if anyone had urged him to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organization. He smiled and said “Of course” but he said he did not really believe it until something happened at home that completely changed his mind.
Below is what he told me.
“My wife’s Aunt Cui practices Falun Gong. She was often harassed by the authorities, and everyone in the family was worried about her safety. Indeed, she was later arrested for telling people about the persecution and held in a forced labor camp.
“Her brother was a prominent figure in the region and used his connections to get her released. But after that, he cut his ties with her and refused to listen to anything related to Falun Gong.
“A year later, her brother was diagnosed with lung cancer. He tried all kinds of treatments but to no avail. He was discharged and sent home for comfort care.
“Cui went to visit her brother with Falun Gong materials. She said, ‘You helped me when I was in trouble. Now it’s my chance to return the favor. We know that the hospital can’t help you now. Your last and only chance is this book, Zhuan Falun. If you read it with a sincere heart, you will be blessed.’
“Touched by her kindness, he gave it some thought and agreed, ‘Alright then, leave the book with me. I will read it.’
“After reading the book for a few days, he started to itch all over, as if countless bugs were crawling out from inside of him. A few days later, he felt his energy level had improved, and he no longer had pain. He went back to the hospital and the doctor was stunned to discover that his cancer was cured!
“He asked his sister, ‘Why didn’t you give me the book before? It is an amazing book!’”
The taxi driver said, “If that had not happened to someone in my family, I might not believe it. Now I am completely convinced.”
