(Minghui.org) I have practiced Falun Dafa for 24 years, and I have always felt Master benevolently protecting and watching over me. It is the reason I have made it this far and was able to forge ahead on the path Master laid for me. When I stumbled, Master helped me stand up. When I lost my way, Master showed me the direction. Benevolent Master has safeguarded, prompted, and encouraged me all the way. I am the happiest being in the world.
Recovering from a Stomach Ailment
I had a severe stomach problem for more than 10 years. I went to every large hospital and also tried Chinese, Western, and folk medicines, but all in vain. I suffered tremendously. My family was terribly worried about me. Because I had taken Chinese medicine for quite some years, my neighbors were all very familiar with the bitter, unpleasant smell of boiling Chinese herbs.
After I began Falun Dafa cultivation practice in 1997, I followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and recovered from my stomach ailment. I’ve been in good health ever since. I’m in my 70s and walk very fast. I also take care of all the household chores. Everyone in my family was grateful to Falun Dafa and its founder, Master Li Hongzhi. Everyone who knew me understood the power of Falun Dafa from seeing me.
My company offered me a medical expenses reimbursement card with a 30,000 yuan limit in 2008. When my son brought it home and told me about it, I told him that I was healthy because I practiced Dafa and didn’t need it anymore. I asked him to return it so they could give it to someone else.
I enlightened to Master’s compassion and the urgency of saving sentient beings, so I began to clarify the facts to people face-to-face. After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party were published, I used the time I went to buy groceries to talk to people, hand out truth-clarification materials, and tell people how I benefited from Dafa. This was to help people understand how wonderful Dafa is, escape danger, and have a good future.
Those I met had predestined relationships with me—our encounters were arranged by Master. I didn’t miss any opportunity to clarify the truth about Dafa. I went to stores and vendors' booths to advise people of the power and preciousness of Dafa. I talked to some store owners or vendors once or twice, and they didn’t want to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). So I went there a third time, or until they agreed. On holidays and weekends, I went far away to clarify the facts.
Other practitioners followed in my footsteps, They wanted more sentient beings to hear the truth about Falun Dafa many times. When we ran into people who argued with us or swore at us or wanted to report us to the police, we were not moved. We didn’t want to miss any chance to save them. We talked to them one by one, until they learned the truth.
My Greatest Happiness Is for Sentient Beings to Be Saved
During the pandemic, I never stopped going out, not even for one day, to clarify the facts to people. I put up sticky notes on how to avoid the pandemic and handed out special editions of Dafa materials. I didn’t stop talking to people even during the Chinese New Year Celebrations. At most, I could help 14 people quit the CCP in one day. At a minimum, I could help a few people quit.
My approach was that only after the individual learned the truth and agreed to quit the Party did I give them informational materials. I also said, “I’ve talked to you briefly about Falun Dafa. You can find more detailed information in the informational materials.” Then I asked them to go home and check it out. They were willing to take them. Most of them even thanked me.
One time, a family was holding a party on our street. I said to those who came, “To understand the truth about Falun Dafa in detail, please take this informational brochure home to read.” Everyone there was eager to get a copy. After I handed out all I had with me, they asked me to get more. At noontime, when I went to the Fa-study group and mentioned it, some practitioners were concerned about my safety. However, I put saving sentient beings first, so I went home to get more materials.
They thanked me for the materials. I said that, if they were to thank someone, please thank Dafa’s Master, as it was he who asked us to save people. They then said, “Thank you, Dafa’s Master!” It made me so happy to see people with predestined relationships learn the truth and be saved by Dafa!
Many seniors often gathered outside the museum. They’d sit down and spend the entire morning. I went there to clarify the facts frequently, hand out Dafa informational materials, and encourage them to quit the CCP. One day when I gave materials, there were mostly retirees. I also helped them to quit the CCP. Many of them thanked me afterwards.
Only one old man who looked like a cadre and had taken some of the materials said he’d report me to the police. I said to him, “I know you are a retired cadre. You’ve been through a lot in your life, and it’s not been easy. Without good health, you don’t know true happiness.” I also talked to him about how the CCP has persecuted its own people in its many political movements. I said, “The CCP persecutes practitioners who practice kindness and has gone so far as to harvest organs from them while they are still alive. For the CCP to commit all these bad deeds, it has irritated not only people, but also gods. Heaven will not let it off the hook and will eliminate it, which is now Heaven’s will. By quitting the CCP and its youth organizations, people can ensure their safety and save their lives.” He nodded and agreed to quit the Party. He also wanted to take a copy of the information to read at home.
For nearly 20 years, in all kinds of weather, I distributed Dafa materials on the streets and alleyways day after day. I looked for people with predestined relationships to me to save them.
I have helped over 10,000 people quit the CCP. Even so, I’m still far from fulfilling my mission and duties bestowed upon me by Dafa. I will continue to do the three things to fulfill my vow. Master is by my side at all times. Without his protection, I could hardly do anything. Everything is done by Master. Helping to save sentient beings is my greatest joy.
Helping Police Officers Be Kind
I was clarifying the facts at a supermarket in the summer of 2015, and someone who didn’t know the truth reported me. The police came, dragged me into their vehicle, and took me to the police station. Then they took me to my home to ransack it. The officers said that someone reported me for promoting Falun Gong and handing out leaflets, which they said was against the law. They ended up breaking into my bedroom to confiscate my Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) books.
I told them, “These Dafa books are more precious than my life. I had a stomach problem for over 10 years. I took Chinese, Western, and folk medicines but didn’t recover. I was emaciated and lived in pain. It was those books that saved me. That is why I am doing so well today.”
I continued to clarify the facts to them in a calm way, saying, “Despite the risk of being illegally arrested and sentenced, and even losing their lives, Falun Gong practitioners facing persecution still hold onto their belief and seek to tell everyone that Falun Gong is a righteous Fa. Persecuting Falun Gong is against the law and the Constitution. It’s unethical, and it’s against heavenly principles. Stop your persecution and treat Falun Gong practitioners kindly. I hope you will choose kindness and safeguard the dignity of the law and the rights and interests of kind citizens, as that’s the only right thing to do.” Whatever they asked, I answered and explained patiently. As our conversation went on, the atmosphere became much more peaceful. After they learned the truth, they left and did not harm me. I was truly happy that they chose kindness.
As soon as a new secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee in our area came on board at the end of 2015, he ordered the police officers in each county and city to arrest practitioners who’d filed lawsuits against the former CCP leader, Jiang Zemin. One day a vehicle parked in front of my home. Several police officers got out and broke in, planning to arrest me. They asked me if I had submitted a lawsuit against the CCP leader. My compassion arose and I realized I didn’t want those police officers to commit crimes against Dafa. So I calmed down, smiled, and said, “I did submit a lawsuit against Jiang, as well as one against the local police officers who participated in persecuting Falun Gong. But I didn’t hold the local police officers criminally responsible, as I still wanted to give them a chance to repent.
“Everyone in China should sue Jiang. What has the country come to?” I started to list Jiang’s crimes, saying they were too numerous to be counted. “Persecuting Falun Gong has been a disaster, especially for the people. In order to get promoted, people in the police, procuratorate, and judicial systems have helped to arrest, detain, harass, and otherwise persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They followed Jiang’s direction to commit these crimes, leading to miserable consequences for themselves. The heavenly principle of ‘good and evil are rewarded accordingly’ has resulted in tens of thousands of them incurring retribution: some lost their lives; some were imprisoned; some became critically ill; and some of their families were impacted in a negative way. I understand that your work is your duty, but how you execute it is still up to your conscience. Treating Dafa and its practitioners kindly is truly protecting yourself. The gods above will protect kind people.”
They listened to me quietly. From time to time, I tried to get acknowledgment that they understood. They said yes. They gradually calmed down and started smiling. Soon after, they looked at each other, and one of them said, “We should go.” They walked out of my house with smiles on their faces and left.
Seeing them go from breaking into my home to trying to arrest me to walking away with smiles on their faces said a lot. It boiled down to the power of Falun Dafa, Dafa’s mighty virtue and dignity, and Master’s immense compassion that manifested to dissolve this vicious persecution. This experience made me more deeply realize the sacredness and wonderfulness of something Master said:
“Mercy can melt heaven and earth into springRighteous thought can save people of the world” (“Fa Rectifies the Cosmos,” Hong Yin II)
