(Minghui.org) Construction was being done in my area in autumn 2008. I told a construction worker named Lin the facts about Falun Dafa and gave him some information to read. He gladly took it and agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He also shared the pamphlets with other coworkers.
A few days later, Lin went back to his hometown to help with the autumn harvest. Two days after he returned to the construction project, he was involved in an accident. Scaffolding made up of 6 metal poles 6 meters long and 2 meters wide and thick bamboo boards were used to transport two buckets of cement and two people carried them up and down the building. The workers did not notice that a metal pole used to fasten the scaffolding on the top floor of the building was loose. A pole suddenly snapped and came crashing down. One end hit the ground and the other end struck Lin on the head. He immediately began bleeding. Everyone who saw what happened was dumbfounded. The contractor was terrified. They all thought Lin would die. Even if he survived, he would be seriously injured.
Lin was rushed to the hospital for treatment. He underwent all kinds of tests, but he was fine. He only had a small inch-long wound on his head. His skull and brain were fine, and he was not in pain. The doctor asked, “Shall I stitch up your wound?” Lin said no as he thought it would be too painful. The doctor simply bandaged the wound and he was allowed to go home.
I heard there was an accident at the construction site. Two days later, I met Lin and asked him, “I heard there was an accident. Was the person seriously injured?” He said, “No, his injuries were not serious, just a small cut on the head.” I asked him, “How do you know?” Lin replied, “It was me.” I looked at him and indeed, he seemed to be all right. The skin on his head was abraded but it would heal in a few days. I said, “You must remember, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ and you will be blessed. It turns out you were protected.”
Lin said, “Yes, I will remember this phrase for sure. After this incident, I am even more certain Dafa is good. Do you have another Falun Dafa symbol?” I happened to have an amulet in my bag. I gave it to him and asked, “Do you still have the one I gave you?” He said, “When I went home and told my sister-in-law what you told me about Falun Dafa, she believed it was true and asked me to give her the amulet. She told me to get another one from you.” Lin was visibly moved as he said these words. He continued, “Dafa is indeed amazing! If not for Dafa, I would not have survived the accident.”
I said, “Yes, it’s true. Even if you were hit by a brick, you might have been dead, let alone a metal pipe 6 meters long.” I reminded him to say, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” if he is in danger again and he will be saved. He agreed and even asked me to help his wife and two children renounce their memberships in the CCP. I told him it would only count if they agreed to it themselves. He said, “I will tell them and they will agree to quit the CCP organizations.”
The entire construction crew witnessed how extraordinary Dafa is and passed around the information about Falun Dafa to other people to read. Some of them even took the pamphlets to other construction sites and shared them with the workers there.
