(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Tian Zidong and His Wife Ms. Zhang Haihong Arrested
2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Cai Huaxing Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
3. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Jiqiang and Ms. Song Xiu Arrested
5. [Beijing] The Case Against Mr. Lu Sumin Submitted to the Procuratorate
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Lizhu and Mr. Yan Jiguo Arrested
7. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiang Ying Arrested
8. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] More Than 30 Practitioners Arrested
9. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yongcheng Arrested
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Tian Zidong and His Wife Ms. Zhang Haihong Arrested
Mr. Tian Zidong and his wife Ms. Zhang Haihong were arrested at home by officers from the Ziyou Street Police Station on June 14, 2023. Their home was ransacked. The couple was sent to the Changchun City Detention Center.
2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Cai Huaxing Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Mr. Cai Huaxing from Baiyun District was sentenced to three years in prison by the Liwan District Court on April 6, 2023. Mr. Cai was taken to the Beijing Prison on June 19, 2023. His family has not been allowed to visit him.
3. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained
Three practitioners including Ms. Hong Yanrong and Ms. Tiantian were arrested by officers from the Haigang District Police Department on the afternoon of July 14, 2023. Ms. Hong Yanrong is held in the Haiyang Detention Center.
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Jiqiang and Ms. Song Xiu Arrested
Mr. Wu Jiqiang from Kuiwen District of Weifang City was recently arrested by officers in Kuiwen District.
Ms. Song Xiu from Gaomi City was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong in a market on July 12, 2023. She was taken to the Weifang City Detention Center.
5. [Beijing] The Case Against Mr. Lu Sumin Submitted to the Procuratorate
The case against Mr. Lu Sumin was recently submitted to the Shijingshan District Procuratorate.
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Lizhu and Mr. Yan Jiguo Arrested
Ms. Zhang Lizhu from Yilan County was arrested on June 18, 2023. Mr. Yan Jiguo was arrested in June or July 2023.
7. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiang Ying Arrested
Ms. Xiang Ying from Nanding Town of Zhangdian District was arrested at her younger sister’s home in Longkou City on July 8, 2023. Officers from the Zhangdian District Police Department and the Fangzhen Town Police Station arrested her. Ms. Xiang Ying was placed in criminal detention and was taken to the Zibo City Detention Center.
8. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] More Than 30 Practitioners Arrested
Over 30 practitioners were arrested recently in Qiqihar City including Ms. Shi Shufang, Ms. Wang Shuling, Mr. Cui Defan, Ms Tian Guiqing, Ms. Yu Shufang and Ms. Chen who is in her 80s. Ms. Shi Shufang was arrested at home by officers from the Longhua Road Police Station on June 29, 2023, and was taken to a detention center. Most of the practitioners were forced to pay a 5000 yuan fine before they were released on bail on pending trial.
9. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yongcheng Arrested
Mr. Wang Yongcheng from Renzhao Town was arrested on June 12, 2023. He has been released after being detained.
