(Minghui.org) I called a man in Heilongjiang Province a few days ago. As soon as I mentioned quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations, he scolded me and then hung up. When I talk to people who have a negative attitude, I wait awhile, and then call them back.
The second time I phoned I introduced myself and said that I was from northern China. “We talked a few days ago,” I said. “The reason I am calling you again is to wish you peace, safety and good health, since you are a good person.” He thanked me.
I said, “I hope that everything goes well for your family. There is an important matter that I need to tell you. Disasters keep happening recently. Why? You know how corrupt people and society are. People will do anything for money, right?” He agreed.
I continued, “Can Heaven allow humankind to continue degenerating like this? This COVID pandemic targets those people whose morals have degenerated. But, Gods and Buddhas offer people a way out. More than 400 million Chinese people have chosen to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. You do not have to go to the organization to quit. You just use an alias and agree to withdraw. I just want the best for you. Are you a Party member?” He said yes.
I said, “I will help you quit the CCP so you can be safe. Okay?” He said yes.
I asked, “I am really happy for you. Has anyone helped you quit in the past?” He said no.
“All right, you need to remember your alias and today’s date,” I said. “In addition, I am also going to tell you two phrases: ‘Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ These two phrases have saved countless people’s lives. Please remember them. When you are in a hopeless situation, or when you are ill, just recite them sincerely and they will help you to avert disaster. It is very effective. Can you remember them?” He replied that he already memorized them.
First Turn
Just then, I heard a scolding voice over the phone. Someone seemed to be very angry and the man asked me to wait. After a while, he came back and told me to continue speaking. However, after a few seconds, he asked me to wait again. This happened a few times. I felt that he had some troublesome matters to deal with.
I recalled what Master said,
“...your field could have the power to alter any improper thoughts that might be going through the mind of someone immoral who is in your presence. Or it might cause someone who was about to use foul language to change his or her mind suddenly and not do so. But this is only possible with the field of energy that comes from doing true spiritual practice. You should now be able to understand an old Buddhist saying that goes, “Bathed in divine light, conduct and thought become right.” (The Third Talk, Zhuan Falun)
I recited silently, “Bathed in divine light, conduct and thought become right.”
I asked, “What happened?” I heard someone say, “I invested millions of yuan, but the business was snatched away by others.” I remembered Master’s words,
“While working, your tone of voice, your kindheartedness, and your reasoning can change a person’s heart” (“Clearheadedness,” Essentials for Further Advancement)
I comforted him, saying, “Do not get angry. Sometimes things seem quite bad, but may not be bad at all. I know that you are very kind. Good people will get rewards. Iwish the best for you from the bottom of my heart. I hope that you can have peace and safety.
“Many people averted disaster and bad things took a good turn because they recited the two phrases: ‘Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good’ sincerely when they met with danger. Why don’t you give it a try. Maybe things will take a positive turn.”
I had yet to finish my sentence when he said loudly without hesitation, “I asked everyone here to say the words.” He said he needed to handle the matter.
Thinking that he had not completely understood the truth, I called him the next day. As soon as he heard my voice he said, “What you said really works. My problem has been solved!”
I asked him if he remembered the two phrases and he said, “Everyone here has memorized them.” With that, he told the people near him, “Say the words.” Then I heard, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He explained that everyone there quit the CCP and its youth organizations.
I said, “The pandemic has made everyone’s lives very difficult. Do you know why this pandemic is so serious? On March 19, 2020, Falun Dafa’s founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, explained it clearly in his article, 'Stay Rational.'” I read Master’s article to him and asked him if he understood why I asked him to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. He thanked me.
I told them that Falun Dafa’s founder, Master Li Hongzhi, published an article on January 20, 2023, called “How Humankind Came To Be” and asked if they would like to listen to it. He agreed. I read it slowly. They all listened quietly.
Second Turn
Just as I was about to finish reading the article, he suddenly yelled, “You nasty policeman! I am not afraid of you!” and other bad things.
I did not know who he was scolding. I asked him, “What happened? Who are you talking to?”
He said, “I am scolding you, you nasty policeman. Who are you deceiving?” He hung up the phone.
He went from listening to Master’s articles to scolding me. I did not expect the man’s attitude to change so drastically. I thought about it. In such an environment as China, there may be other reasons. However, he already quit the CCP and its youth organizations so he should be fine. I should send forth righteous thoughts to get rid of the bad elements behind him. At the same time, I should also send forth righteous thoughts to get rid of the things in my own dimension.
I remembered Master’s words,
“I’ll tell you, for years I have been continually saying that Dafa disciples’ abilities are tremendous, yet many people don’t believe this since those abilities were not allowed to be seen. Under the effect of righteous thoughts, everything around you, as well as you yourself, will undergo changes. Yet you have never thought to give it a try.” (“20 th Anniversary Fa Teaching,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume XI)
After I sent righteous thoughts, I called again. Hearing that it was me, his tone softened. He told me not to keep calling him.
I asked him what happened.
He said he heard a police siren in the distance, “Aren’t you a police officer? Don’t pretend.”
China’s police officers are being used as persecution tools by the CCP, and are feared and hated by the Chinese. Just because he heard a police siren he hated police.
Clearing Up the Misunderstanding
I recalled what Master said,
“Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in spring”
(“The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos,”

I said with a solemn tone and sincere attitude, “I am in the United States. I am not a police officer. I practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Everything I told you is the truth. I wish I could invite you to my house for a visit.” I described my surroundings and said it was really quiet here.
“I practice Falun Dafa. Falun Dafa teaches people to become better people based on Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Falun Dafa is being persecuted in China but millions of practitioners risk being captured, sentenced to jail, and even subjected to live organ harvesting, just to tell people the truth. That is because Dafa’s Master saw that humankind is in trouble, so he asked his disciples to tell people how to to avert the disaster. That includes you and your family.”
He laughed and said, “So you all hate the police!” I said that cultivators have no enemies. Many police officers have received our phone calls and understood the truth. They have quit the CCP and its youth organizations for themselves and no longer participate in the persecution. They even protect Falun Dafa practitioners. I said, “Today, I am calling you and I do not ask for a single penny. I just want you to be safe.
He said, “It is okay even if you want money.” I said, “I am not doing this for money. I just hope that you will be safe.” He said, “Thank you! I also hope that you are safe and peaceful too!” I said, “Thank you!”
I said, “Falun Dafa was introduced to the world in Changchun in 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi. In 1998, the National Sports Commission even conducted a survey and found that 98% Falun Dafa practitioners were healthy.” I told him how Falun Dafa is practiced around the world and the brutality of the CCP’s persecution. He listened quietly.
He said that his parents passed away and he had never joined the CCP or its youth organizations. He said that with some sadness. I comforted him by saying that from now on, when he meets someone who makes him angry, he must not scold the person as that is not good for him personally, it would reduce his fortune. He must recite the two phrases in his heart frequently and tell the truth that I told him to everyone whom he can tell, especially telling them that Falun Dafa teaches people to become good people based on Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They must never misunderstand Falun Dafa.
When I was about to hang up the phone, it seemed he was reluctant to leave. He told me that if I go back to China, I can call a person who is well-known in that area. He even asked what he should do if other people wanted to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I told him what to do and he said that he would remember. We bid each other farewell.
Closing Remarks
After this phone call, I understood that our foundation of solid Fa study is very important in making phone calls well. I have participated in the Fa memorizing sessions on the platform. So whenever I meet with disturbances, I immediately recall pertinent teachings Master has given and can feel Master’s empowerment. Master’s Fa is like a bright light that guides me and allows me to have the confidence to speak with righteous thoughts and obtain good results.
Another experience is that when I meet with cases where the other party does not understand and even scolds me, I must not be moved by his or her attitude. I should not have any negative thoughts. I should carry the positive thoughts of a cultivator to stand in the other party’s shoes to care for them and persist in clarifying the truth. Doing it this way, the truth-clarification’s effectiveness will be good.
