(Minghui.org) Yuan, my mother-in-law’s brother and seven members of his family came to visit her one summer more than ten years ago. Although my mother-in-law and her other son live in the same village with us, none of them were willing to receive the family and persuaded us to take them in.
It was during the heat of the summer, and we didn’t have air conditioning at home in the countryside. It was steaming hot in the kitchen. But I still worked hard to prepare delicious food for them. I also provided hot water for them to take showers, as well as taking them around town to see places of interest.
Yuan’s wife had been deeply influenced by the Chinese Communist Party’s demonizing propaganda against Falun Gong. I told her about how the regime staged the Tiananmen self-immolation hoax to smear us, how Jiang Zemin, the former head of the regime, ordered the persecution, and how Falun Gong teaches its students to be good people.
I also told her that I was diagnosed with bone tuberculosis in my back when my son was only five months old. I almost became paralyzed and had to ask my in-laws to help care for him. When I was discharged, the doctor said I had to be on medication for the rest of my life and I couldn’t do heavy labor, or my back would get injured again, resulting in permanent paralysis. After I took up Falun Gong, I soon recovered completely and can easily do all sorts of housework.
Yuan’s wife understood the facts and said, “I didn’t know Falun Gong was so good!” The family stayed at our place for nine days. During that time, I thoroughly explained the facts about Falun Gong to them and they all agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
“I Truly Admire Your Personality”
During the Chinese New Year holiday six years ago, my mother-in-law’s nephew, niece and five other members of their family came to visit her. She again asked me to receive them. Once again I did my best to take good care of them all.
I prepared three tables of food and hosted a big lunch party for the family, including the families of my brother-and sister-in-law.
My mother-in-law’s nephew, the manager of a water company, said to me during lunch, “I truly admire your personality.” This was the third time that I had spent time with him. I had clarified the facts about Falun Dafa to him before, but he never acknowledged it. This time, how I handled the family affairs with such a giving attitude convinced him that Dafa practitioners are good people. He also agreed to quit his membership in the communist regime.
