(Minghui.org) Practitioners participated in a street fair in Munich on September 9 and 10, 2023, to introduce Falun Dafa to the community. Many people who attended the Corso Leopold festivities on Ludwig Street (Ludwigstraße) asked where they could learn the exercises. During the event, practitioners also wished Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, a Happy Moon Festival (September 29).

Organized by the Munich Department of Arts and Culture and the Bavarian Asian Culture Department, the Corso Leopold is held every autumn. Participants include political parties, city government agencies, sponsoring companies, people in the arts community, organizations, and craft artists. This and the Zamanand Festival in the spring attract more than 400,000 local residents each year. Falun Dafa practitioners have been invited to participate in these activities.

Mother and Son
Many people said they liked the beautiful music and gentle exercises. A mother and her son signed the petition to end the persecution in China. The mother suggested her son try the exercises.
He did and told practitioners he really liked them. “My mind is very calm now,” he said. Both he and his mother said they planned to come to the group practice site.
Quitting the CCP Organizations
A young woman from Shandong Province, China, who came with her husband said they were happy to see practitioners. The woman said she’d seen the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) negative media coverage about Falun Dafa but never believed it because she said the CCP always lies.
After talking with a practitioner, the woman learned about Falun Dafa and how the CCP has suppressed the group since 1999. She decided to renounce her membership in the CCP’s Youth League.
IT Professional: Exposing the Brutality
IT professional Holger signed a petition.
Holger, an IT professional, signed the petition to help end the persecution of Falun Dafa. Having worked with a human rights group for the Greens Party in the past, he knew how the CCP mistreated Tibetans and Falun Dafa practitioners.
He commented that practitioners have the right to practice the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and that it is critical for them to expose the CCP’s persecution in China. “By suppressing democracy and freedom, the CCP is endangering the world, including Germany,” he added.
Legal Expert: The Persecution Is a Disgrace
Anita Distarevicz, a legal expert, signed the petition to stop the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa, especially forced organ harvesting. “Such a state-sponsored crime [of organ harvesting] is totally unacceptable—we have to end it,” she said. She explained that, since she’s from the former Yugoslavia, she knows how totalitarian communist regimes mistreat people.
“It is hard to imagine that the CCP has been persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners for the past 24 years just for their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” she said. “This is disgraceful. It is frightening that people are forced to abandon their principles and their spiritual belief,” she continued.
Raising awareness of this is very important, Ms. Distarevicz said. The public needs to know that the CCP has deprived citizens of their basic rights.
She accepted a hand-made lotus flower from a practitioner. She liked the words, “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” on the flower. She said that practitioners strive to be better people by following the Falun Dafa teachings, like a lotus flower rising from the mud.
The Situation Will Change

Silvia talked with a practitioner for a long time. She said she’d seen practitioners at the Munich-Pasing train station in the past and was happy to see them again. She signed the petition.
She said that more people need to oppose the forced organ harvesting so that the atrocity will end. Besides street fairs like this one, she encouraged practitioners to expose the persecution in the news media. She said that when more Chinese people have awakened to the reality, the situation will change. She reminded practitioners to continue their efforts and wished them well.
