(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Huaiqin Faces Indictment
Ms. Huang Huaiqin, who lives in the Xinjin District, was arrested by officers from the Qionglai City Police Department on September 5, 2022, and her home was ransacked. She was released on bail at midnight.
The police submitted her case to the Qionglai City Procuratorate in late August 2023. They called her family and said they arranged an attorney for her and she should meet with him. When her family called the attorney he said that Ms. Huang should come to his office and sign a paper. He said the procedure would be enforced if she did not do as he said.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Hongyun Faces Indictment
The case against Mr. Liu Hongyun was submitted to the Acheng District Procuratorate on September 9, 2023.
3. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dai Ruilian Detained
Ms. Dai Ruilian, in her 70s, lives in Gaizhou City. She was arrested by officers from the Xihai Police Station at around 9:00 a.m. on September 8, 2023 when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Xihai area. She is being held in the Yingkou City Detention Center.
4. [Lishui City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Ying Zhenqiang Held in Brainwashing Center
Mr. Ying Zhenqiang lives Wuyun Town, Jinyun County. He was taken to the Xiaojun Brainwashing Center from his own company in Huzhen Town. This was his third arrest.
5. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Jiang Hongfu Faces Trial
Mr. Jiang Hongfu’s case was submitted to the court. The court has contacted him twice.
6. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Geng Ming Detained
Geng Ming of Changtu County was listed in the wanted list on the Internet by Changtu police. Geng was arrested by Changtu County Domestic Security Division officers on August 31, 2023, and is being held in a detention center.
7. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Wanbiao and His Family Harassed
Several officers banged on the door of Mr. Li Wanbiao’s home at 10:30 p.m. on September 7, 2023. His neighbors were awakened by the prolonged, loud knocking.
Several officers did this again at 2:00 p.m. on September 11, 2023. Officers routinely went to his home and banged on his door, or made harassing calls on the CCP’s “sensitive days.” The constant harassment frightened him and his wife, and she left. Mr. Li also left and moved from place to place to avoid the persecution.
Mr. Li was released from prison in December 2022 after serving two years. He was charged with using paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on it by captain Xin Zhiguo of Songyuan City No. 2 Police Department Domestic Security Division. In May 2023, officer Xi and two others from the Binjiang Police Station went to his home and asked where he was. The police repeatedly called his wife and asked the same question.
8. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gu Wenhua Arrested
Ms. Gu Wenhua, from the Fengzhuang, Lingcheng District, was arrested at her home and taken to the Lingcheng District Police Department by ten officers from the department on September 6, 2023. The officers ransacked her home, confiscated more than 3,000 yuan in paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on them, over 40 keepsakes, and several copies of writings by the founder of Falun Gong.
When the officers made her undergo a physical exam in a clinic the doctor said her blood pressure was 250 mmHg and was life-threatening. The police ignored the doctor’s warning and took her to the Dezhou City Detention Center, where they checked her blood pressure four times, and each time it was 260 mmHg. The detention center guards refused to admit her. They had to take her back to the police department. Before they let her son take her home, they ordered her to report to the police department the next day and sign a guarantee that she would not distribute Falun Gong flyers.
9. [Qing’an County, Heilongjiang Province] Zhang Zhiling Detained for Ten Days
Zhang Zhiling was arrested and detained for ten days by officers from the Domestic Security Division, for distributing Falun Gong flyers.
10. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Gao Hengbai Harassed
Gao Hengbai lives in Xiaozhen Village, Nancun Town. Pingdu City Police Department officer Zhang Guanghai went to Gao’s home after 10:00 a.m. on September 11, 2023. Gao was at work. Zhang called Gao and said he would meet Gao in his or her workplace. Gao refused to cooperate.
11. [Beizhen City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Mr. Cheng Haijun, his wife Ms. Zhu Chengzhi, and another practitioner (whose name is unknown) were arrested by officers from the Datun Township Police Station on the evening of September 10, 2023. Their homes were ransacked that night. The three practitioners, who all live in Goubangzi Town, are detained.
12. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Qin Huaibin Detained for 15 Days
Mr. Qin Huaibin, 53, who lives in Jiapi Village, Jinchang Town, was incarcerated for nine years. His home was illegally searched by two officers from the Dongchang District Political Security Brigade on June 20, 2023. One of the officer’s last name was Guo.
Mr. Qin was arrested in front of his department building by three plainclothes officers when he was on his way to work in the early morning hours of August 26, 2023. They took him to the Dongchang Domestic Security Division. Guo questioned him and asked who submitted the details of his persecution on the Minghui website. Three officers asked other questions, and they filled out a form on a computer regardless of whether he answered or not. They said, “It doesn’t matter if you answer. The result is the same.”
He was detained for 15 days in the Tonghua City Detention Center and was released on September 10, 2023.
