(Minghui.org) After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999, the police from the Domestic Security Brigade in our local county Public Department followed the Party in frantically persecuting Dafa practitioners, arresting them, and illegally raiding homes. I remember that one night dozens of police cars broke into our village, and the shrill sirens sounded one after another. At that time, Domestic Security Brigade police arrested many Dafa practitioners, detained them, sent them to forced labor camps, and sentenced them to prison.
To prevent the police from committing more crimes against Dafa practitioners, to better clarify the truth and save the people, and to create a good environment for cultivation, local practitioners persistently wrote to the police, told them the truth face-to-face, and exposed the persecution with stickers. Many police officers gradually understood what Falun Dafa really was, why the Party persecuted Falun Dafa, and that the Party had no legal basis for the persecution.
I knew people from these departments before I cultivated. Once, when I met with the head of the county domestic security brigade, I told him that the Communist Party was a ghost from the West that had negated China’s 5,000-year-old culture. I talked about the Cultural Revolution destroying traditional culture and brainwashing the Chinese people into fighting with Heaven and the Earth, and being arrogant. I told him how the CCP staged the Tiananmen self-immolation incident and had deceived the Chinese people. I told him that the Chinese people are not descendants of Marxism-Leninism. He understood what I said and finally quit his membership in the Party.
Fellow practitioners from neighboring counties came to our town to clarify the truth, but they were reported, arrested, and taken to the Domestic Security Brigade. I called the captain of the brigade and asked him to let them go. I said, “I will support you in the future when you face trial after the persecution. Your kindness today will become your blessings in the future.” In the afternoon, those practitioners were released. Since then, the captain of the brigade would communicate with Dafa practitioners when incidents like this one happened, and there was no more big persecution in our local area.
Last year, the captain of the brigade was replaced. The former captain was transferred to an easy post at the same level because he understood the truth and received blessings. Now the new captain did not know the truth about Dafa and had never been in contact with Falun Dafa. I had talked to him a few times, but he was not very supportive. Two practitioners were arrested. Although they were let go quickly, this happened because we didn’t do a good job. This situation required us to start from scratch, and practitioners also needed to look inward, improve as a whole, and cooperate as a whole.
I had been in communication with the Domestic Security Brigade for so many years. Because of my proximity to them, some fellow practitioners did not understand, saying that I was bribing the people of the public procuratorate and law enforcement and that I did so much that other practitioners had nothing to do. I began to feel unbalanced in my heart: I had created such a good environment, safe, and smooth for so many years, yet there was so much gossip. I couldn’t help but feel aggrieved.
However, Master told us,
“...when problems come along, you look inside.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Meeting with Asia-Pacific Practitioners,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume VI).
I could only solve my fundamental problems by looking inward. I calmed down and looked inward. I found that my willfulness, intolerance, self-righteousness, showing off, and resentment led to these vulnerabilities. How dangerous it was! Aren’t fellow practitioners’ criticisms helping me get rid of these problems? Using Dafa disciples’ righteous thoughts to maintain a one body of cultivators is what Master wants, and that’s what Dafa disciples should do during the Fa-rectification period. I would like to thank my fellow practitioners who created conflicts for me. Without conflicts, how could we cultivate and improve? Truly ascending in the Fa is the manifestation of a true cultivator.
After I found my shortcomings, I clarified the truth to the captain of the Domestic Security Brigade again. This time, it was very different. Since Dafa disciples had formed one body, our environment had become better and better. Here are two examples.
Example 1:
I went with two practitioners to clarify the truth one day. I was stopped by a policeman on the road because I wasn’t wearing a helmet. I said to him, “Let's not talk about the helmet yet. Let me ask you if you are a Party member?” He said that he was, and I said, “Withdraw from your heart and remember that ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ for your own future.” He took his mobile phone out to record me. I didn’t pay attention to it at the time and kept saying that the CCP staged the Tiananmen self-immolation incident.
Before I could finish speaking, he waved his hand, and said, “Hurry up, I’m on duty.” I looked back and saw that his phone light was on. He said, “I am videotaping you.” I later realized that he was not saved, because he had videotaped me. So, I found their captain, and told him what had happened. I asked him who had been on duty in that place. The captain thought I was afraid that that policeman would report me, and said, “It’s okay, he won’t report you.” I said, “No, I am not concerned about that. I want to find him because he hasn’t quit the Party.” The captain, who already understood the truth had quit the Party. He told me to let him know if I saw that policeman again.
One day I saw three policemen on duty there, and one of them was the one who had videotaped me. I walked over and told him in a straightforward manner: “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I then said, “You need to quit the Party from your heart to ensure your safety.” He nodded, and said, “Okay, okay.” Another policeman said, “I am also a Party member.” I said, “Then you need to quit too.” I told them about the 5,000-year-old culture and the origin of the Party. In the end, all three policemen quit the Party.
Example 2:
I was out clarifying the truth with fellow practitioners when I saw the captain of the Domestic Security Brigade. When I greeted him, he said, “Don’t pass out materials everywhere. There are a lot of police officers on duty today.” I said, “I didn't bring any materials today. I am just talking to people about the truth.” He didn’t say anything and left. Fellow practitioners and I began to clarify the truth. Later, we saw a lot of policemen coming, and the captain of the Domestic Security Brigade was among them. A policeman ran over to him and said something to the police group while pointing at us.
At that time, I realized that we had been reported, so I thought, “You are not going to stop me today, and I will tell all of you to quit the Party.” But none of the police responded to that one, as if no one cared about it. At that time, the captain of the Domestic Security Brigade called me on my phone, and said, “You should leave quickly. Don’t stay.” We then left safely.
Due to so many years of truth-clarification by fellow practitioners, our environment here has become really good, and we can clarify the truth safely on the street.
In 2021, several practitioners from our county went to a neighboring county to clarify the truth but were reported, arrested, and sent to the Domestic Security Brigade, and later released on bail pending trial for one year.
A year later, they were prosecuted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. We knew very well that whatever happened was an opportunity for us to clarify the truth. We first went to the procuratorate and told the prosecutor the truth face-to-face. Outside the procuratorate, practitioners helped send forth righteous thoughts. With the blessing of Master and the cooperation of practitioners as a whole, I was full of righteous thoughts, and I lectured the prosecutor on the extraordinary of Falun Dafa and the evil nature of the CCP.
When I was telling him that the Cultural Revolution had ruined China’s 5,000-year-old civilization and destroyed the roots of the Chinese nation so that the Chinese people no longer believed in benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith, the procurator pointed at me and shouted: “This is an anti-Party remark, don’t say it!” I said full of righteous thoughts: “Heaven will destroy the CCP, and quitting the Party will ensure peace. Quit the Party. The only way you can escape the catastrophe is to quit the evil Party organizations.” The prosecutor was stunned for a moment, and then replied, “Okay! Okay! Okay!”
I then walked over to an elderly policeman, and said, “Uncle, let me help you quit the Party. You will have a safe future.” He didn’t think much of it and quit immediately. After we came out of the procuratorate, the practitioners who sent righteous thoughts outside said that the overall cooperation played a great role, and a breakthrough had happened with the procuratorate. There was not much resistance from the police department. I said, “Over the past few days, we have intensively sent forth righteous thoughts. We will go to the police department next week to clarify the truth.”
In recent years, the captain of the Domestic Security Brigade in the neighboring county had been frantically persecuting Dafa disciples, and many fellow practitioners were arrested by him and illegally sentenced, making the cultivation environment in the neighboring county very bad. In the eyes of most practitioners, this man was a bad policeman. They said that he had been like that since he took office. However, we cultivators cannot be suppressed by notions, and if we do not get rid of our notions, we will not be able to truly improve ourselves. Today’s people are all family members of Master, and the police are also awaiting salvation.
At that time, Master had been blessing me to let go of my notions, so that I could compassionately use righteous thoughts to save sentient beings. I went to visit him, but when he saw me, he started swearing and shouting endlessly. I didn’t know why, but I thought maybe we did something wrong, otherwise, he wouldn’t be so angry. I said to him, “Please forgive us if we have done something wrong. Stop yelling. Let’s have lunch together and talk about it.”
I didn’t expect him to answer so quickly. He said: “Okay, I’ll go to a meeting. It’ll be over soon. You wait for me for a while. Another Falun Gong practitioner will come later.” I said, “Okay, let’s talk together.” I waited in his office. A fellow practitioner came to finalize his case. In the office, I first asked the two policemen to quit the Party and then communicated with the fellow practitioner. When talking about Master’s new article “How Humankind Came to Be” the practitioner said, “The reason why Master published it on Chinese New Year’s Eve is that there is not much time left for us to save people.”
The captain of the Domestic Security Brigade listened quietly there and did not disturb us. After a while, he went out and got the paperwork for the practitioner. The practitioner asked: “Is it all done?” He nodded affirmatively, “It’s all done.”
At noon, we all went to lunch together. The fellow practitioner and I kept talking about the extraordinary of Dafa and how the evil Party persecutes the Chinese people. The captain listened quietly. In the end, I said to him, “Please quit the CCP.” He quickly nodded: “Okay.” During subsequent interactions with him, I always told him about the extraordinary of Dafa. He agreed, and he also said, “I often think, people who practice Falun Gong are so good. Regardless of how we treat them, they have no resentment.”
I really didn’t see that he was evil. He was simply deceived by the Party and did not distinguish between good and evil. I came into contact with him several times, and he really understood what Falun Gong is and what the communist specter is. He regretted that he had participated in the persecution for many years, and he repented from his heart.
After several months of hard work, the illegal prosecution of several practitioners by the Domestic Security Brigade was withdrawn, and the case was closed unconditionally. The captain said to me, “In the future, we will be friends, and we will never arrest our own people again.” I’m glad that he was saved. I sincerely thank Master for giving every chance for this life to be saved.
After so many years of persecution, we have gone through ups and downs, and Master has made everything we have done great. As a cultivator, we can’t always be suppressed by human notions and be frightened by the police. The relationship between Dafa disciples and the police is not like persecuted and persecutor, but is one of offering salvation and being saved. When the Fa-rectification comes to an end, we must let go of our human notions, seize the limited time to clarify the truth and save people, and fulfill the vows we made with our lives.
