(Minghui.org) My grandma started practicing Falun Dafa in 1999 and is now 87 years old. She still insists on doing the exercises and studying the Fa every day.
I lived with my grandma when I was in 6th grade. Every morning, people would come to my grandma’s house to practice the exercises, and then study the Fa together at night.
I would follow them to do the exercises and listen when they studied the Fa. I even helped them learn the words they didn’t know by looking them up in the dictionary. It was also at that time that I formed a sacred bond with Dafa.
Ever since my grandma started practicing Falun Dafa, many miraculous things have happened to her. As soon as she started practicing, Master Li (Dafa’s founder) purified her body.
Before then, my grandma suffered from many diseases, all of which were serious and could not be cured by the hospital. The most chronic one was hepatitis. She used to drink two sips of white wine to relieve the pain. Almost none of her internal organs were in good condition.
Soon after my grandma started practicing Falun Dafa, all her illnesses were miraculously healed.
Grandma has always been a very kind person. After practicing the exercises, she encountered all the magical phenomena that Master mentioned in His Fa teachings.
For example, several times she encountered the opening of the celestial eye and floating up (levitation) during the sitting meditation. She could even see scenes from other dimensions.
She has seen dragons flying up and down in front of her eyes, as well as glittering golden flowers. She has also seen big fireballs from other dimensions fly into the house and illuminate it. The glow was so intense and red that she was frightened and she quickly covered herself with a quilt. She was scared at the time because of her little education and not fully understanding Master's teachings.
My grandma now insists on reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” every day and is in very good health.
I have been influenced by Dafa since I was a child. Although I didn’t have a deep understanding of the Fa principles, I always remembered to be a good person and not commit bad deeds.
It was in 2013 that I truly started Dafa cultivation. That day, I watched a DVD on practitioners’ cultivation stories at my grandma’s house. It talked about how a retired public security cadre (government employee) practiced Falun Dafa to achieve physical and mental purification, and how he found the true meaning of life.
Although he very calmly talked about his understanding of cultivation, I was fascinated while listening and was very shocked. I understood that Dafa is Buddha Law cultivation.
I dreamed I was on a dilapidated ship that night. It was a stormy night, and I felt like I was about to fall into the sea. At that moment, I looked up and saw a figure and thought to myself: “Why does it look like the Master of Falun Dafa?”
The figure then turned around, and it was really Master Li. His image magnified infinitely before my eyes, then I woke up. The dream was very vivid and afterward, I had a strong desire to practice Falun Dafa.
From then on, I started to learn the five sets of exercises from my grandma and read Master’s lectures whenever I had time. I deeply realized the broadness and profoundness of Dafa through Fa study.
I used to be very selfish, had a bad temper, and was arrogant and unreasonable. After studying the Fa, I wanted to change from the bottom of my heart.
I became kind, humble, and polite. My temper subsided, and I became docile. My great-uncle and grandma saw the changes in me and they remarked, “It’s amazing that Dafa’s Master can turn you into this!”
There was also a change in my appearance. My neighbors all complimented me on my beauty. I realized that this is another meaning of “... the appearance stems from the mind.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Epoch Times Meeting,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. X)
Because I have a kind heart, I’ve become more beautiful.
At work, I also strictly follow Master’s requirements. I never collect money or gift cards from parents, and I give extra lessons to students for free.
I often spend my own money to buy small prizes for students to motivate them. Parents thank me from the bottom of their hearts and wish there were more teachers like me in society.
When I meet the standards of the Fa, Master enlightens me so all my students like my class.
I got married not long after I started cultivation. My husband grew up in a family of Dafa practitioners. He has read most of Master’s lectures with his mother. However, he was not yet considered a genuine Dafa practitioner.
My husband had seen scenes from other dimensions when he was young. Once he had a high fever, which was so severe that his mother was worried and asked him if he wanted to go to the hospital. My husband insisted not to go and sent righteous thoughts with her.
After sending righteous thoughts for fifteen minutes, he asked, “Mom, did you see anything?” His mother replied, “No, what did you see?” He said, “I saw a big fireball in my palm.”
As a child, he was often hospitalized for fevers, but after that experience, he was never hospitalized for a fever again.
When the pandemic was serious at the end of 2022, my husband often studied Zhuan Falun with me. After reading it once, he said to me: “I should cultivate Dafa too!”
After hearing this, I was very happy. From then on, my husband read Master’s scriptures whenever he had free time. He told me, “I feel that the happiest time of the day is when I study the Fa.”
Although he has not been studying the Fa for long, Master has begun to take care of him.
He was also infected with the virus during the pandemic, but under Master’s protection, his symptoms were not serious, and he recovered within just a few days without taking any medicine.
He later told me that he felt an energy current going up and down in his body when he opened Zhuan Falun. After studying the Fa, he felt refreshed and comfortable.
Since the spread of Dafa, our family has gradually started to practice, one after another, and they’ve personally experienced the magic and beauty of Dafa, as well as Master’s boundless compassion.
Although we’ve been through many ups and downs, we firmly believe in Master and Dafa.
We still walk, without hesitation, on the path arranged by Master to return to our original home.
