(Minghui.org) When the annual Italian Heritage Parade took place in San Francisco, California, on October 13, practitioners in Bay Area joined the celebration and introduced Falun Dafa.
Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Italian Heritage Parade on October 13 in San Francisco, California.
The parade started at 12:30 p.m. and practitioners presented their Tian Guo Marching Band, exercise demonstration, waist drum performance, and a float.
Universal Values
Cindy said the practitioners’ performances were great and she praised Tian Guo Marching Band.
Cindy said she was happy to see Falun Dafa practitioners in the parade.
Cindy praised Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and said they are universal values. She hopes people cherish them because they are very important.
Missionary: Improving Mind and Body
Michelle, a missionary, believes Falun Dafa is very beneficial to San Francisco residents.
Michelle is a missionary from the Philippines and was happy to hear about Falun Dafa. She said the practice is very good because it can improve both mind and body. This is especially meaningful for San Francisco residents who are often under stress due to various pressures. She felt Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are beneficial to them as well as our society in general.
A Better Society
IT engineer Anil Sharma watched the parade with his child, and said he frequently saw practitioners in San Francisco and he’s also seen them doing the exercises in Washington Square. He said practitioners are very peaceful, and the practice is great for physical and mental health.
He emphasized that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are much needed in our society. There are wars between countries and tension between people in the U.S. If more people follow these principles our society will improve.
Fatai in the retail business agreed. He said the practitioners’ performances were outstanding and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the best. It’s critical for people to recognize their differences and live together with kindness.
Amanda
Amanda took a flyer and said she would read it in detail. This was the first time she heard about Falun Dafa and she really resonated with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Janet
Janet said she had flown from Portland to San Francisco to participate in the parade. She really enjoyed the Tian Guo Marching Band’s music, and said it’s wonderful and their costumes are eye-catching.
Having seen Falun Dafa practitioners at the Portland Rose Festival’s Grand Floral Parade, Janet said she was pleased to see them again. She said the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are important for everyone, especially during the election year.
The Persecution in China Should Stop
John said he hopes to meditate.
John also thinks the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance apply to all of us. Mental health is a big problem in our society and he said he’d like to calm down and meditate. He was alarmed by the persecution in China and said the brutality must end.
Helicopter pilot Andy Crean said the Tian Guo Marching Band’s music was superb. It’s inspiring and the best music he ever heard. He also praised the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and said if each every one of us follows them society will be different.
