(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Yang Guiru and Chang Shuzhen Arrested
3. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Chao Denied Family Visits While Serving Time for Practicing Falun Gong
4. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Zou Liqun Arrested
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Yan Arrested
6. [Laishui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shuqin Detained for 15 Days
7. [Beijing] Ms. Xia Chunfeng Placed Under Residential Surveillance
8. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] A Female Practitioner Arrested
9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yingjun and Ms. Wang Chengmei Face Indictment
1. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Qinghua Detained
The family of Ms. Li Qinghua from Fuhaoshanzhuang of Panyu District, had lost contact with her since September 14, 2024, days before the Mid-Autumn Festival. Her home was raided and many personal items including computer were gone. Her family later confirmed that she was arrested by officers from the Qiaopai Police Station on September 14, 2024 and she has been detained in the Panyu District Detention Center since. Two other practitioners in Panyu District may also have been arrested.
2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Yang Guiru and Chang Shuzhen Arrested
Yang Guiru and Chang Shuzhen, both from Hucundian of Yali Town, were arrested on September 20, 2024, after being reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Nanle County.
3. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Chao Denied Family Visits While Serving Time for Practicing Falun Gong
Ms. Zhang Chao was arrested by officers including Sun Licheng, deputy of the Shuangliao City Domestic Security Division, on June 26, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She was tried by the Lishu County Court in Siping City on December 25, 2023 and sentenced to five years in prison.
Ms. Zhang appealed with the Siping City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict. She was admitted to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison on March 20, 2024. Her family went there twice, but were denied by the guards from visiting her.
4. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Zou Liqun Arrested
Zou Liqun was arrested on September 13, 2024
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Yan Arrested
Ms. Cui Yan was arrested at her home in Ganjingzi District by officers from the Nanguanling Police Station, around 1 a.m. on September 19 or 20, 2024. Her hands and arms were twisted and pinched with many bruises during her arrest. The police ransacked her home and confiscated the Falun Gong books, computer and some cash. She was then taken to the Lijia Street Police Station. She was released later that evening after she was found to be unfit for detention.
6. [Laishui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shuqin Detained for 15 Days
Ms. Wang Shuqin was arrested at home on August 14, 2024, after she was reported by a person for talking to him about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. Her husband, who was working out of town, rushed back and demanded her release at the police station, but to no avail. The police initially gave her 15 days of administration detention. When the term expired on August 29, they didn’t release her, but took her to the Baoding City Detention Center. Due to her physical condition, she was denied admission and released later that day.
7. [Beijing] Ms. Xia Chunfeng Placed Under Residential Surveillance
Ms. Xia Chunfeng was placed under 24-hour residential surveillance from August 30, 2024 to September 7, 2024, by the Changying Police Station and Lijingyuan Community in Chaoyang District. Whenever she went out, four people followed her and took photos of her.
8. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] A Female Practitioner Arrested
A female practitioner, around 50, was arrested in her rental place in Lantian Town, Jiangyang District on September 20, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She is possibly detained in the Naxi Detention Center.
9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yingjun and Ms. Wang Chengmei Face Indictment
Mr. Liu Yingjun and Ms. Wang Chengmei, 49, were arrested on May 10, 2024 and have been detained in the Yaojia Detention Center. They are now facing indictment after the police submitted their cases to the Ganjingzi District Procuratorate.
Ms. Wang’s husband has passed away. She has a 76-year-old father and her youngest son is in college. As she was the only source of income for her family, her detention left them in a dire situation.
