(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

5. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Suhua Arrested
6. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Chang Lijun Detained
7. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Fu Xiaoli Arrested
8. [Yunmeng County, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Jintao Detained
9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Seven Practitioners Harassed
10. [Li County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Jiuzhou Detained
1. [Quzhou County, Hebei Province] Ms. Qin Jingxiang Facing Trial
Ms. Qing Jingxiang has been detained in the Handan City Third Detention Center since her arrest on November 16, 2023. The Congtai District Procuratorate returned her case to the police several times for more evidence, before indicting her and moving her case to the Congtai District Court. She was scheduled to stand trial on October 15, 2024.
2. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yaming and Mr. Sun Jian Facing Trial
Ms. Zhang Yaming from Jinzhou City and Mr. Sun Jian from Panjin City were scheduled to stand trial in the Linghai City Court at 2 p.m. on October 15, 2024. The two practitioners were arrested by officers from the Zijing Police Station and Linghe Police Department on April 13, 2024 and have been detained since.
3. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wei Shuyan Facing Trial
Ms. Wei Shuyan was scheduled to stand trial in the Weidu District Court at 8:30 a.m. on October 16, 2024.
4. [Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yang Guijuan Arrested
Ms. Yang Guijuan, a native of Langfang City, Hebei Province who was working in Jiaxing, was arrested on early morning of October 12, 2024, after being followed for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her Falun Gong books, cell phone and computer were confiscated.
5. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Suhua Arrested
Ms. Lu Suhua from Wujiagou of Jianming Town was arrested by officers from the Jianming Town Police Station and Zunhua Domestic Security Division, when talking to people about Falun Gong at Jianming Town Market on the morning of October 11, 2024. Another practitioner was also arrested with her. Ms. Lu is currently detained in the Zunhua Lockup.
6. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Chang Lijun Detained
Ms. Chang Lijun was arrested by officers from the Datong Mining Bureau Police Department on September 9, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She is currently detained in the Chenzhuang Detention Center.
7. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Fu Xiaoli Arrested
Ms. Fu Xiaoli was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong at a farm market and arrested at noon on September 4, 2024. One of the four arresting officers took away her bag that had her keys and some cash. The bag has not been returned to her yet.
Ms. Fu was taken to the Liquan County Domestic Security Division and her personal information were recorded. The police searched her home in the afternoon but they didn’t find anything. Ms. Fu was detained for ten days in the Liquan County Lockup and released on September 24, 2024.
8. [Yunmeng County, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Jintao Detained
Mr. Zhang Jintao was arrested on the afternoon of September 22, 2024. He is currently detained in the Xianhe Detention Center.
9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Seven Practitioners Harassed
The officers from Chaoyang Township Police Station recently harassed seven practitioners, including Ms. Zheng Xiuhua, Ms. Wang Jurong, Tian Fanjiang, Tian Ping, Li Fenghua, Wang Yanbo, and Sheng Yukun. Two officers burned the photo of Falun Gong’s founder at Sheng’s home.
10. [Li County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Jiuzhou Detained
Mr. Zhao Jiuzhou, 48, became mentally ill due to the persecution of Falun Gong. He was arrested in 2016 for writing “Falun Dafa is good” in public. Wang Junchang, former head of the Li County Domestic Security Division, beat him and injected him with some unknown medicine, which caused him to become mentally ill.
Mr. Zhao was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station on September 23, 2024 for writing “Falun Dafa is good” on utility pole. He was given 15 days of administration detention and then placed under criminal detention on October 7. He is currently detained in the Li County Detention Center and has had two episodes of epileptic psychosis.
