(Minghui.org) On the campus of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), paintings from the Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance) International Exhibition were lined up along the road leading to the library on October 14, 2024, giving students passing by the opportunity to learn about Falun Dafa and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution in China. The event also included a signature drive in support of the U.S. Senate S.4914, the Falun Gong Protection Act.
On October 14, the Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance) International Exhibition was held at the University of California, San Diego.
Students sign a petition in support of the U.S. Senate S.4914, the Falun Gong Protection Act.
The art exhibition was organized by the Falun Dafa Club at UCSD, a student organization. Philip, the head of the club, said, “We got a good time this year because the new school year has just started. We need a large space to hold an art exhibition, which is usually difficult to find. But this time there is enough space for us. We are really happy that the students have the opportunity to view the art exhibition and learn about Falun Gong.”
Chinese Students Quit the CCP and Its Affiliated Organizations
There are many Chinese students among the people coming and going on the Library Walk where the exhibition was held. After viewing the art exhibition, some Chinese students talked with Falun Gong practitioners to gain a deeper understanding of the facts, and declared on the spot that they would withdraw from the Young Pioneers and the Youth League, organizations affiliated with the CCP.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Su said, “Many Chinese students not only come to listen to the truth, but also sign the petition to support the Falun Gong Protection Act. This really requires courage and a sense of justice.”
Ms. Yang, another practitioner volunteering at the art exhibition, said that a Chinese student told her that although he came from a well-off family and did not really want to come to the United States, he is glad that he can see some things that he could not see in China. He looked at some paintings and after talking with practitioners, he took a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
An Asian student told practitioner Jenny that her roommate’s uncle was a Falun Gong practitioner who was persecuted in China, so she knew something about Falun Gong. She signed the petition. When a Falun Gong practitioner gave her a small lotus pendant, she said that her roommate had one and she was happy that she now had one, too.
