(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Ren Shuiping and Ms. Chen Caifang Sentenced
2. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiang Dexin Detained
3. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Mr. Bai Hongmin Detained
4. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Hui Arrested
5. [Ningxiang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Chuntao Detained
1. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Ren Shuiping and Ms. Chen Caifang Sentenced
Ms. Ren Shuiping, 75, was sentenced to three years with four years probation and a 3,000-yuan fine by the Weidu District Court in Xuchang City. Ms. Chen Caifang was sentenced to two years with three years probation and a 2,000-yuan fine. The authorities forced them to buy cell phones with location trackers and demanded that they answer their calls at any time. They threatened to put them into prison if they fail to answer three calls.
Ms. Ren does not know how to use cell phones due to her advanced age. She is under tremendous pressure about missing the calls.
Ms. Chen was diagnosed with cancer and is receiving chemotherapy. The mental pressure from the persecution is affecting the efficacy of the treatment.
2. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiang Dexin Detained
Mr. Jiang Dexin was arrested at home on the evening of October 26, 2024 and put into the Nangou Detention Center. He was interrogated by officers from Chengde City, Hebei Province on October 27 and was transferred to Chengde City on the afternoon of October 28. It’s not clear why the police in Chengde was involved in his case.
3. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Mr. Bai Hongmin Detained
Mr. Bai Hongmin was arrested at his rental place in Zhengzhou City on June 19, 2024. He was recently transferred from the Hebi Brainwashing Center to Zhengzhou City Third Detention Center, by officers from Jingba Road Police Station.
4. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Hui Arrested
Mr. Li Hui was arrested outside of his home between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on October 24, 2024, by officers from the Yongxing Domestic Security Division.
5. [Ningxiang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Chuntao Detained
Ms. Liu Chuntao, 66, talked to people about the persecution of Falun Going at the Lijingpu Bus Station on September 30, 2024 and was reported. She was arrested by Lijingpu Police Station officers on October 4, 2024, when she was shopping in a supermarket. She was detained for 12 days and released on October 16, 2024.
