(Minghui.org) Minghui.org published a sharing article in early November 2024 about donations, reminding fellow practitioners to pay attention to the principles of Dafa cultivation when making donations.
As far as I know, some practitioners have taken heed, but some still don’t understand the issue. Some feel it’s fine as long as the article didn’t address them directly, and others counterargue with donation rules accepted by everyday society.
I personally feel that it’s important for us to have a correct understanding of the principles we should follow as Dafa practitioners when making donations; otherwise, we may make mistakes without realizing it.
In my understanding, soliciting donations among practitioners is wrong, and even more so is the mindset of “the more, the better.” Master has talked about this topic several times in his teachings. If non-practitioners want to donate to Dafa, it’s out of their good will, which shows their kind heart and support for Dafa, and it’s a good thing. We should be clear about the difference between the two.
We should all follow the principles of Dafa cultivation and remind each other when we see problems, without exception.
