(Minghui.org) More than 5,000 Falun Dafa practitioners from all over Taiwan and other countries formed the largest Falun symbol and Chinese characters for Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to date. The activity was held on Liberty Square in front of the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei. The spectacular scene drew many people to stop and take photos, and some expressed their admiration.
Ms. Huang Chun-mei, who participated in the character arrangement, said, “This year’s Falun symbol is the largest one we’ve done. The three characters for Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are not only principles that guide practitioners, but those who do not practice are also drawn to them.”
Ms. Huang said, “For practitioners, cultivating these three characters can make everyone feel the changes in their body and mind. For modern people, if you can follow these three characters, treat others sincerely, act kindly, tolerate each other when encountering things, and take a step back, the world will be broader, and you will be a good person. Society will definitely be more peaceful and will not be filled with hostility and violence.”
Tourists Learn About Falun Dafa
Carrie from the United States works in Taiwan. She’s heard of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) and learned about it online through a flyer she was given during the event. She also learned that before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution in China, there were more Falun Dafa practitioners than CCP members. She said that there should be freedom of belief. Regarding Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and said, “Sincerity is very important for any society. I think there are many dishonest people in modern society. Kindness is also important, we must care about each other, that is key. Forbearance is also important because it helps us treat others well. If we are sincere, then everything will go smoothly.”

Lawren from New Zealand was visiting Taipei. She read a flyer, watched the event, and said, “It’s really spectacular and beautiful to see so many people line up to form these characters with many bright colors. I’m looking forward to seeing the final formation.” She said it was a special experience to see this event by chance, and she was fully experiencing it. When she learned that practicing Falun Dafa is beneficial to people’s moral and physical improvement, she said, “Then it must be good.”
Mitch and his wife are from Nebraska, in the U.S. They passed by Liberty Square a few days ago and saw Falun Dafa practitioners arranging cushions for the character formation. They returned to see the event in person. After learning about the CCP’s persecution and how Falun Dafa is practiced across the world, Mitch said that Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are important to life and that if everyone treats each other this way, the world would be more peaceful.

On the day of the event, Jeremy, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Argentina, handed out fliers to tourists in front of the display board and answered their questions. He shared several stories.
A couple from Poland said that this was the first time they heard about Falun Dafa. They explained that Poland was also persecuted by the communist party in its history, and now such a peaceful practice is being persecuted. They said that they were happy to see so many people practicing the exercises and they would carefully read the truth clarification materials.
There was also a family of three from Australia. The woman was delighted to see a group of people meditating quietly. They said they heard a little about Falun Dafa in Australia but did not know much about it, so they were happy to see this event. The woman told her husband that when they return to Australia, they will look up the information and see where they can learn the exercises.
Two women from Germany said they saw practitioners do the exercises at the Chinese Consulate in Germany many times, but they didn’t understand why they were there and they did not ask. Seeing so many people in Taiwan this time, they kept taking pictures and said that they would learn more about Falun Dafa and the persecution through the Internet when they returned to Germany.

Local People: Falun Gong Is Awesome
Mr. Ye from Taipei heard about Falun Dafa because his neighbor was a practitioner. He was curious because the neighbor did the exercises and meditated every morning. He also saw the truth-clarifying pictures and materials displayed in various places when he traveled abroad. He said Falun Dafa is a good belief and that the CCP’s persecution is cruel.

Today, he saw the character formation activity for the first time and exclaimed, “It’s spectacular and special. I’m happy to see it.” He said the fact that Falun Dafa practitioners can hold character arrangement activities in Taiwan, a free, democratic country that respects faith, is in sharp contrast to the brutality of the CCP on the other side of the strait. He said it’s great that practitioners persist despite the CCP’s 25-year-long persecution, and have peacefully exposed it and spread the truth through various means such as truth-clarifying sites, parades, and character formations.
Mr. Huang, who works as a waiter, previously saw Falun Dafa practitioners at tourist attractions, but this was the first time he saw the character formation and he said it was moving, “It’s very positive. Very good!” He also expressed admiration for practitioners who have been persecuted by the CCP but still stick to their belief and continue to practice, and said they are extraordinary. He also said that Falun Dafa must be very good, because these practitioners must have personally felt the benefits to their bodies and minds, so they persisted. This inspired him to learn more about Falun Dafa.

New Practitioner Touched By the Charter Formation
Shao Chue-ti, a prison officer who practiced Christianity for more than ten years, used to go to church every week. In 2022, his daughter suggested he read Zhuan Falun, Falun Dafa’s main book. He was amazed, “This book answered my questions that I could not get by going to church.” He began to practice Falun Dafa.

This is the second year he’s participated in the character formation activity. He felt more comfortable this year than last year because he knew that practitioners are doing the right thing and that through the character formation, people can learn about Dafa.
Mr. Shao said, “There is no class or position in Dafa. There is no fixed form such as having to go to church. I like Falun Dafa very much. It is just self-cultivation and self-fulfillment.” He said that Falun Dafa practitioners practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and save sentient beings with predestined relationships. This is not found in other religions. He said Falun Dafa transcends religions.
He said that he had changed a lot after he began practicing, especially after he began letting go of his attachments. “In the past, I was selfish and thought I was doing good for others, so I made demands on others, which put a lot of pressure on everyone. I have now gotten rid of my ego and I’ve stopped judging others—instead, I look inward to improve and cultivate myself. My heart is calmer.” He wants people to know that Falun Dafa is a good practice and that, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and that people can benefit physically and mentally.
